Day Three
Today we have a bit of a lie in, I dont even attempt to wake my Daughter until 8.45am. I know she is starting to struggle with the amount of walking as the night before she had been complaining the her knees hurt. She may be 13 but she is rather small for her age and often gets mistaken for a 10 year old. In fact when we went to buy her some ski wear last year the man in the Decathlon store thought she was 8. She was not impressed I can tell you. I know her knees must have been quite bad as she had taken a couple of pain killers and she hates taking them (she still cant swallow them properly) We head down to breakfast for 9.30 and notice how much quieter it is. Today there is no long queue and no takeaway breakfast in operation.
For today I have a plan, I decided yesterday that we should head to the parks later so that we can last out for the parade and candlebration. My aim is to get to the parks around midday do a couple of rides, have some lunch, more rides and then settle down to watch the parade.
First stop Frontierland where we grab a fastpass for Thunder Mountain and then head off to Indiana Jones. Much to my Daughters disgust when we reach Indiana it is shut due to a technical fault, with no idea how long the ride will be out of action for we decide that whilst we are in Adventureland we may as well have a go on POTC. With only a 5 mins wait time we are on the ride pretty much straight away. Imagine our dismay when nearing the end of the ride it comes to a standstill, the emergency lights come on and an announcement is made that there is a technical problem which they are trying to fix and would we all please remain seated. All my Daughter could think about wasnt the fact we were stuck on this ride but that if we didnt move soon we would miss our fastpass time slot for BTM. Finally after around 10 mins we started moving again, and made it just in time to ride Big Thunder Mountain.

Next we decide to have a walk round Fantasyland as we hadnt really been in there much at all. We went through the maze, which I have to admit was quite amusing trying to figure out how to get to the tower thing in the middle and then had a go on snow white as there were only a few people queing. I can understand why they say it may be a bit frightening to small children, it is rather dark in places not the sort of ride we were expecting. We were going to go on Peter pans flight but the wait time board was not working and judging by the queue and the fact that the fastpass return times were between an hour and a half and two hours later we decided to give it a miss.
<a href="http://s252.photobucket.com/albums/hh19/Brigette1971/?action=view¤t=DSC00363.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh19/Brigette1971/DSC00363.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

For lunch we werent that hungry so stopped off at the bakeshop where my daughter had a ham and cheese baguette and I had a doughnut and a packet of crisps. This was more than enough after having such a late breakfast.
Next we headed over to Discoveryland and to Autopia, the wait time said 45 mins but as we had time to kill until the parade we decided we may as well just wait it out. In fact the actual wait time was 30 mins in the end. My daughter loved this ride and I was so pleased it was open as on our previous visit it had been closed. She decided she wanted to drive and we laughed so much because she couldnt control where the car was going. Its a shame I couldnt take a picture of her but is really was quite impossible to get her and the car in the shot whilst sitting next to her. She begged me to go on Space Mountain but after yesterday the answer was a most definite NO!! she sulked a bit, said she would never come with me again but she got over it. Well for today anyway.

At 3.30 we settled down to watch the parade, the route was already pretty choc o bloc with people waiting and we found the only place to grab a space was right up by Mainstreet station. We took some pics which I think show just how busy the parks were. Ok, so they may not be as busy as in the Summer but I think for February the place is quite busy !!

After the parade we have a wonder around the shops as my daughter wanted to buy a few bits. We then grabbed another fastpass for BTM which had a return time of between 6.00 and 6.30pm. That meant we could just about watch Candlebration and then dash through to ride it.
Candlebration was great, I am glad it was nearly dark as I am sure watching it when it was light would not be the same.
<a href="http://s252.photobucket.com/albums/hh19/Brigette1971/?action=view¤t=DSC00440.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i252.photobucket.com/albums/hh19/Brigette1971/DSC00440.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
We then head straight over to Frontierland and to our disappointment BTM was ..,well you guessed closed due to a technical fault. We were told that we could return tomorrow and use our fastpasses then. We headed over to Indiana ( I think this is becoming my daughters favourite ride) which was by this time open again and rode that instead. On the way back we passed back through Frontierland and noticed that there were still loads of people hanging around BTM, i decided to stay put for a few minutes. Then just as we were about to go I heard the unmistakable sound of the BTM train, as It rounded the corner near the fastpass entrance we noted it was full of CMS. The man collecting the fastpass tickets joked that they had closed it so that the staff could ride it, I hope he was joking !!!!!!
With the ride now open again we thought we might as well go on. My daughter moaned as we were in carriage 7 as she wanted to be near the back. I told her that it didnt really matter where you sat as it was completely different riding it at night. Of course I was right and it was great fun. To top it all off when we came back round there were only a few people waiting near the back carriages to go and and we were told we could ride again. What a brilliant end to the day.!!!!!

On leaving the park we saw Mickey at the top of Mainstreet station waving goodbye to everyone, we took a picture but as he kept moving around it didnt come out too well. Note the time, 7.30pm I thought the park shut at 7.

We wondered through the Disney Village on our way back and grabbed a McDonalds to take away for dinner. We needed to get an early night as tomorrow we have an early breakfast.
