~Our trip is still a secret from our DD, I don't know how we've done it!

~As far as our room request goes, we have to have first floor. DH said if we don't get it we'll switch hotels. Probably off property (ok no more dirty words) I told him he can sleep in the SUV - I'm not switching!!!

Hooray for another diaperbag person. This is the new one I want to order ! It is the new Hobo by OiOi. But seeing as I just ordered a new Hobo that hasn't even arrived yet I am not sure how soon I can get away with this one. It is SO cute though

And I downloaded all the pictures (since March - I haven't downloaded since then - how crazy is that?) onto my computer so I can have a fresh clean memory card.

This is the new "airport" purse I bought. I have my own ritual that I buy a new purse for every vacation. This won't actually go to the parks but for the airport it is big enough for my wallet, glasses/sunglasses case, cell phone, and to slip my boarding passes easily in. Not to mention it is so small there is no way it will get in the way. When it is time to board the plane it will slip right into my carry on. Plus it is cute. It's win win !!

I don't see much use for it when we get home so it might go to my 17yo SIL who loves to inherit my purse collection

I witnessed this. It is very understated. There is no announcement, it just happens. I was always taught to stand at attention or place your hand over your heart when the flag was being raised or lowered. Apparantly less than half a percent of other people were taught the same. Nobody stops...they just look and keep walking.

Well I applaud you for stopping. I too have noticed that so many people just will not stop. Living on military installations, you get used to stopping. Especially when I am with my hubby. It's a sign of respect and as Americans I think it should not be such a bother to stop and recognize our flag! I am hoping to see this when we go!

I just watched Deal or No Deal! Boy, that would be a GREAT show to be on. I watched a little bit of Dancing with the Stars, but seeing Jerry Springer ballroom dance just did me in. Although, I do love So You Think You Can Dance. Especially all of the wannabes in the beginning. Pretty entertaining stuff!

Here's a picture of the flag retreat. I don't remember what year I took this pic. Sorry it's a little dark, I took a pic of the pic so I wouldn't have to hook up the scanner. The day we were there they chose a military family to assist with the folding of the flag and they also released doves. ( I don't think they release the doves any more.) I didn't resize the pic because if you do you can't see what's going on. But if you look closely you can see the marching band.

Love Coach. It is one of my favorite "designer" bags. Next purchase has to be a Kate Spade. Probably won't be for awhile though. Not to mention my hubby would flip if he knew how much they cost. But he has his expensive "toys" and I have mine.

Question, I am having issues with my lime green Mickey heads. What in the world do you do ith the backs of them? I tried contact papering two back to back but the contact paper didn't hold. So now i have cut our heads with ugly backs. Any solutions?

I used to be big into Kate Spade bags but I haven't really liked anything from her last few lines. I have a great Messenger I use made out of her signature Nylon but it is just a really high maitenance fabric. The tiniest drop of water leaves a mark and drives my type A personality crazy so I don't carry it anymore.

DH caught on real quick to what they were costing and then realized I bought a new purse used it for a few months bought a new one and never use the old one again. He doesn't like that habit one bit I have no idea why !

So letting his 17yo old sister pick through my collection makes him a little more leniate. She likes to come over and borrow stuff to look cool at school and he sees more of her and knows she is happy. It is win win for me LOL !

Diaper Bags and strollers are still a battle though. Although he is quickly converting to a stroller man himself. he has two strollers that he won't let anyone else use ! They are only or daddy's use - LOL !!

As far as the flag retreat I was raised military and my DH is National Guard so it is second nature to me to stop during a flag retrea. It is sad some people don't do this. Many probably don't even realize they should.
