What to do about sunscreen???

After reading another thread (horrors, I know!), I have a question! Since we can't take sunscreen in our carryons, I guess I'll have to buy some when I get there, either at the airport or at Everything Pop. Either way, probably big $$$, especially since I'll have some packed in my checked luggage! We are getting in early and wanted to hit AK for the day, then to Boma for a late dinner. Normally I'd chance not having it for that day, but now that I have lupus I'm REALLY not supposed to be in the sun!

I guess my only choices are to put out the money, or hang around Pop until our luggage arrives. I REALLY don't want to have to lug my luggage myself. That's one of the perks of ME!! Darn! I thought I had everything figured out. No liquid meds, all shampoos, toothpaste, etc. in checked bags. I even bought a couple of those toothbrushes with the dry toothpaste on them so we could freshen up before hitting the park. I don't guess slathering myself with sunscreen before I get on the plane would be a good option! I'd probably slide out of my seat!

MrFDNY I just have to say that you look about 16 in your picture! I was shocked when I read you had kids!! Also, congrats on the medal! What a wonderful thing you and the other guys did! I'm sure it makes you very proud!

THREE hours? yuck. We are only 1.5 hours away but we are getting a hotel the night before our plane leaves so I do not have to get up at the butt crack of dawn!

Yes, we are staying at a "hotel" as well. Actually my parents, who are about 40 minutes from the airport. Our flight down is at 6:30 am, so I'll have to wake up BEFORE the crack of dawn even though we'll be so close!

Some Suggestions I've seen are to:

• buy the overpriced stuff
• check one small bag yourself and pick it up before boarding ME
• buy the sunscreen sticks which are like glue sticks and legal for airplanes
• Wear long sleeves, wide-brimmed hats and pants.

The sunscreen sticks ARE allowed? Cool! I will be wearing capris and a cap, but just can't do the long sleeves! I'll get one of those glue....er, I mean....suncreen sticks!

What to do about sunscreen???

After reading another thread (horrors, I know!), I have a question! Since we can't take sunscreen in our carryons, I guess I'll have to buy some when I get there, either at the airport or at Everything Pop. Either way, probably big $$$, especially since I'll have some packed in my checked luggage! We are getting in early and wanted to hit AK for the day, then to Boma for a late dinner. Normally I'd chance not having it for that day, but now that I have lupus I'm REALLY not supposed to be in the sun!

I guess my only choices are to put out the money, or hang around Pop until our luggage arrives. I REALLY don't want to have to lug my luggage myself. That's one of the perks of ME!! Darn! I thought I had everything figured out. No liquid meds, all shampoos, toothpaste, etc. in checked bags. I even bought a couple of those toothbrushes with the dry toothpaste on them so we could freshen up before hitting the park. I don't guess slathering myself with sunscreen before I get on the plane would be a good option! I'd probably slide out of my seat!

Ok, so it looks like we might have a few people interested in meeting at MGM.
I would say between 5:45 and 6pm near the ToT. I do not remember exactly how it is layed out, but near the start of the que I guess would be fine. This is a quick meet and greet and photo op. PLEASE join us if you can!!! I know we all have plans and so if you can squeeze this in, it would be great! Maybe we can all head over to Fantasmic together after the pic!
