This afternoon I asked Danny if he would accompany me to O'Hare to pick up my boss veeerrrrryyy early thursday morning, and in exchange Id take him for breakfast.

He said "sure"

The I said - like super early, 2.30 - and you have to take a shower too, since Dian will be in the car and then we go to breakfast.

He said "okay"

one of my few experiences....

I have been working with Diane since 92 and she was really nice to me I was 21 then ... then she got sick.. so she was in and out of the hospital and finally she had to get admitted. She stayed at our hospital which was nice coz we get to visit her everyday. Well we have this fridge in our lounge for food and the bottom drawer is her spot. And she always leaves soda or chips for emergency purposes. So one night around 11:30PM ( I work till midnite then) I saw her in the Lounge was digging in her personal stash. I asked her what is she doing down here in the lab, she said she got bored in her room and was checking if she has some pretzels to bring back upstairs. I told her she should have called me and I would have brought it up to her. She said... "J, dont worry about me anymore am going to be ok, i just need something salty and am going back up now", I asked do you want me go walk with you back to your room ... she said no its ok.. I am fine just get ready to go home and be careful driving... She left the Lab at 11:45PM ..... At around 11:55PM I got a call from CCU... "J this is Dr. X I am sorry to say that our friend Diane had past away... if you want to visit her the last time now is the best time . I was in state of shock I asked what time did she past away... 11:45PM she was pronounced dead..... So I sat and had to compose myself... only then it dawn on me... how stupid I was.. she was in CCU and there was no way she would have come down from CCU.. But I know in my heart it was her I was talking to and had hug for the last time. Even my co workers who was in the lab thought I was going crazy since they did hear me talking to someone.. and they wonder who I was chatting with


this is one of the experiences I had....

BTW, i never made it to watch them flim that movie. However i did speak to a friend from the FDNY and he said that 911 was getting dozens of calls asking what the heck was going on.Some people never learn, could you imagine
Dispatcher-911 where is the emergency,
Guy/girl-Whats going on by the brooklyn bridge
Dispatcher-Sir/miss do you have a emergency?
Guy/girl-No,just wanted to know what was going on.
DIspatch-Click,dial tone
Guy/girl-They hung up on me,how rude.

Btw 911 gets a few what we call stupid calls a day,and yes we do have a t.v. gudie =but no we won't tell you whats on fox at 8pm and yes someone actually called once to ask 911 this.Then they wonder why the police show up at there door.

So long story short a FDNY engine(fire rig) 2 FDNY ambulances and 2 police cars all race up to this womans house for the report of a man who has died. We all go in and theres the guy Walking around and i'm thinking Dead people do not walk,then he said something and i was thinking dead people do not talk.Then he tried to explain to us what happened and how this whole thing is a mistake and i was thinking Dead men tell no tales.

Anyway the wife seemed to be upset with us and explain her neighbors are nosey and that she only called 911 to see what to do if he died in the future,so i said if he does die the only thing to do is call 911 and she says yes that what i wanted to know.so i say thats why we all came here.

But anyway tonight people driving over the brooklyn bridge saw police and navy helicopters,about a thousand people running away and loads of police cars/fire trucks and fire ambulances.So i guess some got scared. Not to worry it was only a movie.
