My periods have gotten heavier & heavier this past year to the point of going thru a whole box of super's in 5 days! bleech!

Girl, please.... 5 days! That aint nothing.

Ummmm - Since before WDW, I bought a multi-pack of OB's and a Super Plus pack of OB's .....those are gone. I have since bought the exact same thing, and working on those.

I need to buy stock in OB's.

no way Cat really? you really do need the ablation done! holy crap! I'd be pissed if I was bleeding for that freaking long..yea mine only last 5 days...but i spend those 5 days in the bathroom!

ANTSS - hmm, you souind like me...I thought it was "normal" as we get older to go from 28 day to 21 day cycles...mine just changed within the past year. I need to make my yearly appoint for March...so we'll see what she says.

But YES I would definetly go for the non slice/dice procedure if you can!! I know a few people that have had: ablation, and laser h/s with great sucess.

Today's the day I get to go set up my auction! We're meeting at Starbucks this morning & then off to the banquet hall!

oh yea & I got a really cool pair of shoes last night! navy blue wedges with white striping and the tie up your calf thing...NOW if I can manage to not kill myself it'll be good!

It's a cruise theme & I'm wearing a navy blue pants outfit with white piping on the sides (gotta take slimming piping when you can) and a white tank. ...so my shoes go perfect!!!!!

Okay - Ive got some serious bleeding (I started bleeding the day before DisneyWorld... Im still bleeding.... its loads of fun) So I bleed lots and long. I, like you - have short "non-bleeding" days. In fact, I feel like I bleed more than I dont. IT SUCKS!

I do have pain - but not severe pain. Just crampy pain.

I dont know what to do. I need to stop being a wimp and have that ablation done, and go from there.

if you dont plan to do something about anytime soon ... Like me , please have your blood work done for Iron, Ferritin, and CBC (complete blood count) it was easy for me to monitor this since I work in the lab... you dont want to be anemic and not knowing why you arw fainting left and right : now I take xtra 50 mg of iron a day and eat alot of broccoli

CAT the next time I go see the GYN for the result of the u/s is on the 19th... we can do this together... I will ask if I can do ablation and we can be on the phone together talking about our next planned trip while they busy themselves in fixing us

OK ... am going back to take a "nappie poo" ( at PJ) before I go back to work at 2P

Ya'll are scaring me with your period stories! Luckily I'm on the pill so it's regulated!

I left a voice mail for the DR - Ill reschedule the ablation. Im being a wussy. This is more dangerous than justhaving the flipping surgery done. Bleeding and bleeding and bleeding and bleeding....what am I thinking???

I asked for it to be a FRiday, so I can veg for a few days before I go back to work. I hope this is the right decision.

Oh, Ive been on the pill,.... and mine *is* regular. Its just regularly heavy, long, painful and a PIA.

I mean, I get it every 2-3 weeks.... no questions asked. Very regular.

I called and left a voicemail to make an appointment - I asked for a Friday.

Theyre actually been pestering me about if I didnt want the ablation, that I had to come in the office for an "endometrial biopsy" - they want a chunk of my lining! AHHHH! To check for cancer - AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I know its not cancer - I know it. I know it's these freaking fibroids. I think part of the reason I have gone so LONG with it, is Im used to - its all Ive known. Even my MOM had terrible bleeding, painful, I-Wanna-Die periods.... so, i guess I just think it's "normal", for us.

So, I just kept putting off the biposy too, cuz I know it's useless. But, I called and left a message.
