Hi all,
Whats doing?? Well i been off for 4 days and now its back to the fire house. I got a bit of news, when i was off from the fire house. It seems i am now the senior training supervisor. What that means is that all the rookies will work with me for 3 weeks and i have to train them. The captain told them that they are to be my shadow.Should be fun when it's potty time for me.This postion comes with no more money , but i have to due a ton of extra paper work everynight on the rookie'ss performance and now i have to worry about not getting my own tush killed ,but i now have a new kid to watch out for as well. When i questioned the captain on the no extra money he said " the union is working to get you senior training guys more cash ,but if it does'nt happen this title looks great on a resume" Anyway My nextel motorola phone broke but since i have a lost/stolen/damaged contract they are fixing it for free. At the monent i am using my older nextel phone.

Oh yea one last thing,
I got a disney on ice "100 years of magic" post card in the mail today they will be at several places in and around nyc jan/feb and got front row tickets to see the show in long island.
Dw asked me what i wanted for my birthday and x-mas today. My birth day is only a couple of days before x-mas, i told her to surprise me with a trip to wdw!

I've been crazy busy this week..both the girls had huge school projects and Gracie's 7th bday is tomorrow so I've been busy planning! I've got just a few minutes...so quick...

Tia - didyou find him???? I had a mouse in my apartment in college & I swear i LIVED on the couch for DAYS until my boyfriend found it!!!!!!

Mich - glad you got the cd! Did everyone else/???? ANtss did you get the pin? I took everyone's addys with me to the post office...& I was having a TOTAL I'm almost 41 years old moment, I BLANKED on everyone's names!!! I couldn't for the life of me remember....so I knew youd DIS names...& I knew if the addy was right it'd get to you! Of course I got home & looked at my PM box where Ihave them all stored...& as soon as I opened it thelightbulb went off "oh yeah that's right" hahahah Oh well!

I'm so jealous so many of you are going back so soon!!! The earliest I can even hope for is Jan 2008

i'm in full party planning mode now and i need help! what kind of goody bag like thing would you give out at a 50th birthday party?? anyone???

My neice had a pretty elaborate 50's themed birthday for my sisters 50th birthday. It was in CA and I could not make it. I will see if I can pick her brain on gift bags.

And guess what I got in my mail as soon as I opend my door ? A DVC Video so I popped it in ( it is the same one you see at the resort but more in depth explaination). To make my very long story a bit shorter. I called the number on the video, asked every single, silly, crazy stupid question I have and tomorrow we are going to finalize everything. It is not alot of points but it is something I can hold onto for the next 40 years. I will have to use the $5000.00 as down they are waiving the closing fee of $500.00 and I can spread the $600.00 dues in 12 months. If they are going to finance it, it will come to $173.00 a month for some ungodly lenght, but there is no penalty if you put more into it. After the down I would have the $10,000.00 minus the $1200.00 (that amount supposedly to pay Travelocity) in financing with the credit union for 3 years. Just like buying a new car. Now after I have written this down. I really hope I made the right decision! What do you think.

Fantastic!! CONGRATS!!!!! I am so jealous. Boy it sounded so easy to do. We too are hoping to buy DVC. Good luck with everything and I hope it goes smoothly for you. We are going to WL in September, our first time. Have a feeling that will be the push I need to buy.

If I had a $5000 shoe box laying around, I'd totally do it. Especially considering you didnt even really KNOW it was that much! Thats so AWESOME!!!

If I could do it, I would. And $173 / month is less than I "put away" for a Disney trip. So, hell yeah.

Its funny you mention this though - I was looking at DVC resales all day, yesterday afternoon! GMTA!?

yey for 5000 post !!! WTG Michelle for starting this thread.. I am very thankful I found it coz I made such good friends! Even if I only have met you guys for a brief moment!

Am I the only one who have not finished my trip report ? Everytime I try to do the last chapter i get teary eyed... LoL it's like closing a chapter! We gotta have a reunion!!!

I have not finished mine. I need to though.... maybe next week?!

Nope, no sign yet. No smell either. I think either the cat got him or he is outside. At least that is my hope!

I am jealous too, so you are not alone. No clue when we are going back.... hopefully next year sometime but who knows? I am working on a new business to make some more money (mostly so we can go to Disney more than 1 time per year!) We'll see what happens!

What CD?? I feel out of the loop (plus I am nosey! )

GAG gift for a 50th B-Day..... find a jar (like one you use for canning) and get a fake brain. This time of year should be good for finding stuff like that. Then put it in the jar and fill with water. I would put food coloring in the water to make it look more like preservatives than just water... Then make a sticker that says "My Back Up Plan" or "In case I loose mine" or "In case of emergency" something along those lines. Or instead of that you could get a small jar and fill it with marbles... and a sticker that says "In case I loose too many" or something like that.
Ok, I am kind of twisted but I thought it was funny. Not sure how anyone else would take that but I think my Mom would get a kick out of it.. before she got ever the initial eeewwww factor.

Timmy I received my dvc dvd the same day. haven't watched it yet. I'm afraid I'll do something crazy. I don't have $5000 in a shoe box. But if I did......
