Forget about crying,disney police had to drag me out of my room and off propety,then dw had to drag me to the airport and on the plane. I would had donated a kidney to science to stay another week or 2 or 3 or 4! I was actually very sad leaving since we usally do a trip in febuary and we agreed that this febuary we will skip it, me and dw both want to try to stay at grand floridian or the polanisian(spelling) next year in oct. However if i know my dw she'll call me up in a couple of weeks and tell me she just booked for feb,i guess i have to wait and see,pray for me that she books for feb!

We were leaving LLT on 10/2 and we saw the "army family" sitting in the lobby with the CM dusting you off :)
She was a riot, she kept coming to our table and dusting us off too!

But, although Im Disney booked - I still need to figure out airfare. I dont even have any idea how to go about this? I mean, what is a good rate? When should I snag something? Im so confused!!!

And another side note....

I originally thought Jimmy (my fiance) and I could go for that short January trip....but then Danny would be heartbroken, and then I thought "Gee, Danny is getting older - he wont LOVE it as much in just a few years" (my 15 y/o whom some of you saw wandering the resort, went back MANY days... to watch football, to call his friends, to SLEEP!!! SLEEP AT DISNEY?!?!? Blasephemy!!! )

Anyways - I decided on Danny after talking with Jim about it. But Jim is kinda jealous too - and we cant all go, and we cant leave Joey home alone (15??/ No way, no how!)

So, although I'm to be going - Im sad Jimmy wont be along.

BUT I have to keep in mind...this trip is SIMPLY to check out the situation for January of 2008 for all of us. Research only!!! No need to get sad about it.

So again - for those wondering.....

$423 = 3 nights at POP - Jan 25 - Jan 28th w/ a one day ticket (we have leftover days from this past trip)

Add on dining and youre looking at $656. (which I think Im doing)

And what are my odds of a discount code??? Anyone, anyone??

i'm snagging air fare as soon as i see a good rate. for us a good rate is under 175 RT per person i like Southwest, b/c when i book i can keep checking back for cheaper air fare and then they just give me a credit for the difference! i have a 20$ credit to use!!!

If they do free dining again is anyone planning on going back during that time? I am seriously considering it just because the savings is so good! If we do I am thinking about upgrading to a moderate. I'll just have to see how the rates are. Ryan really loved POP though, so it will be a hard choice. My best friend is going next November and they invited us. So I am still up in the air as to when we should book. I commend you all for getting your dates on the calendar already!

WE DID! The first Monday.... 9.25. But on the 2nd Monday - 10.2, we were at MNSSHP!!!

But of course - my 15 y/o went back and updated me when I got back to the room.

So, under $175 is good? I thought lower.... I just have NO idea about flights!!!

i've gotten 100$ on flights before and DH says 150$ but i'm just so desperate to go! haha!!

we're also looking at flying out of Rockford, since i live 10minutes from the airport, and the parking is free and you don't have to check in super early!! haha!! sooo we're willing to pay a bit more for that

Im looking to leave my car there for the 4 days, too. Yes - I have a fiance who wont drive me to the airport. I mean - what good is he, really? Who doesnt drive their S/O to the airport?!?!? WTH?!? He said he'd rather pay to have me leave it there....nice.

So I went to the Disney web site and started pricing trips. I was SHOCKED how expensive it was to stay at a DL hotel. The trip was going to be about $1600 and that did NOT include airfare or food. My package to WDW was less than that! Looks like if we go to DL we will stay off site. That is just nuts. I mean for another $1500 we could do a Disney cruise! I will have to check with MWR to see what kinds of deals that have on DL tickets. I know for awhile Sea World was giving away free tickets to military families so that would be cool. I just can't imagine paying $1600 for a few days at DL!
