We're going to the Cheetah Girls concert on Friday night...we're going to sleep at my parents house that night...which is not unusual for a concert night they live very close to the theatre AND the airport...then I'm waking them up at 5am to say We're goin to Disney!!!! They are gonna scream!!! hahah

Have fun surprising your son!!!!!!

At least you took it in! Good thinking!!!

The only reason we surprise him, cause i made the mistake on the last trip of telling him 143 days befor that we are going.Do you know what being asked 200 times a day for 143 days can do to a person.

Anyone else getting a little worried about the crowd levels? I've been checking out some of the other threads in some of the other sections of this board, and it seems like there are a lot of mixed reviews. Some people are saying the parks are dead, and others are saying the parks are a little unusually crowded for this time of year. So, I don't know what to expect.

I figure that there are probably a lot of people there right now taking advantage of the last week of free dining, and I would imagine the next week (our week) will have a lot of people there for the food and wine festival, but I am hoping that all those increased crowds will be concentrated around World Showcase. Of course, you can expect that Magic Kingdom will always be crowded no matter when you go. But, I am guessing that the parks will be crowded when we first arrive, and after the first weekend of the F&W Fest, we'll notice the crowds thinning out.

We can rest assured that the crowds won't be nearly as bad as they are in July, or during Labor Day, Memorial Day, or any other peak time holiday.

Of course, if you ask me, a busy day at WDW is better than any normal day in the "real world."

Hey there B'town....yep we've been talking abotu it here too & kinda decided like you...a crowded day with friends in Disney is better than any day at home!

I'm hoping since we all have adr's & plans in place that we'll be ok. I'm guessing the weekend will be nuts...but Mon-Thursday hopefully good!

:wave2: off to nap and all that jazz! i should be on at least 2 more times before i leave!!! :goodvibes: i think i have left everything as it needs to be!!!! :yay: i will post all the final lists right before we leave and if Tia and Chris could do me a favor of re-posting the MEETS one as each page refreshes to that newbies could join us too!!!

Is anyone going to bed earlier and earlier than normal??? I was actually in bed at 9pm and asleep by 9:30 last night (I'm normally awake until midnight or later!) I swear its all because the sooner I go to sleep the sooner I can go to Disney!!!
No weird dreams - no last minute flight changes - still worried about my luggage and it's 33 minute connection - but who cares I'll be at Disney! I can buy everything there!!!

Hi everyone!
Today has been busy for me! I had errands to run adn then we had a PTO thing this afternoon. Now I have to go get Ryan then off to football practice.
Goodbye and good luck to all of you leaving today! Be safe and have a blast. Remember getting there is half of the fun! (or at least that's what I tell myself ;) )
Michelle, If Chris does not post meets, I will no worries. We can do them tomorrow and Friday right Chris?
The crowds will be what they are. Let's remember this is still not peak season and not the middle of summer so the temps are a little easier to manage! Also, the resorts themselves might be busy because to get FREE dining you have to stay at a WDW resort. Just a thought. I looked and many otehr area hotels have plenty of availability! *deep breaths everyone* :grouphug:
Ok, I need to go get ready to pick up Ryan. Be back soon!

One last thing....

Several new live entertainment shows are debuting in the Magic Kingdom this week:

Woody's Cowboy Camp in Frontierland is described as a "rootin'-tootin', straight-shootin' good time" with Woody, Jessie and Bullseye. Sam the Singin' Cowboy leads a western hoedown that rings out across the prairie. Times: Wednesday-Saturday at 10:20, 11:10 a.m., noon, 12:50, 1:40 and 3:50 p.m.

Dream along with Mickey is the new 20-minute Castle Forecourt Stage show, starting Saturday at 9:40, 10:40, 11:40 a.m., 4:35, 5:35 and 6:35 p.m.

Let's Have A Ball is billed as "The Happily Ever After Party in Fantasyland." In this interactive show, you are invited to take your place in the King's grand court. An amazing Royal Ball is about to be held, and Princess Aurora and Prince Philip are on their way to welcome all the Lords and Ladies from across the land. As the music plays and merry-makers lead the way, you'll take your place alongside Disney royalty in a fairy tale dream come true. Times: Monday-Saturday at 10, 11 a.m., noon, 1:00, 2:40, 3:50 and 4:55 p.m.

High School Musical Pep Rally in Tomorrowland invites you to join in this awesome pep rally. East High cheerleaders and basketball stars lead the fun as you learn cheers and cool dance moves. Jam to the hottest tracks from the wildly popular Disney Channel movie and then strut your stuff to the super-charged musical finale. Times: Wednesday-Saturday at 10, 11 a.m., noon, 1:00, 3:00, 4:00 and 5:00 p.m.

"Family Fun Day" Parade invites guests to perform in a parade down the heart of Main Street, U.S.A. alongside beloved Disney characters. Things really kick into high gear when the fun arrives at Town Square. It's flag-waving, patriotic fun and you could be the star. Times: Monday-Saturday at 12:30, 1:15 and 2:00 p.m.

Not sure what has been posted yet or not, but my TA just sent this so I thought I would pass it on to you all!

And yes, I will drag you along if I see you looking lost or confused! :goodvibes

We'll be there on the 2nd, too! If you see either Belle & Prince or Figment & Dreamfinder, it's probably us! Say hello! :bounce: I'll have my LGMH somewhere, probably on my camera bag!
