So I know at one point, it was posted here about what type of Popcorn the World sells, and what type of oil to buy. Can someone please tell me?

Also, does anyone know of a good electric popcorn popper?

Thanks!

I must say i've had air popcorn machines in the past.... I haven't used one in years, but I found this year a microwave popper, you put oil and kernels in the bottom and you use the microwave, it's GREAT!!!!!

So easy too!

It's by Presto.

I second the West Bend Stir Crazy! My dad has had one for YEARS and he makes THE BEST popcorn!!!!

I personally pop my popcorn on the stove and use coconut oil. I also sprinkle popcorn salt into the oil before I put the popcorn in, that way I don't have to salt the corn after and there aren't salt crystals all over.

Absolutely use coconut oil. Nothing else is even remotely close. Agree as well on popcorn salt; it's much finer than table salt, and as a result is less crystalline and sticks better to the kernels. Both of the above can be found in butter-flavored (which partly just means yellow colored, ha!), though it may take ordering online or finding in a specialty shop.

I typically do all my popcorn on the stovetop; for a topping, only real melted butter. I suspect some "popcorn butter" products would also work, but have not personally tried. Do not use margarine or the like.
