Popcorn in Tower of Terror

Has anyone ever taken popcorn into TOT. My daughter wanted to last time we were there but I was worried it might float around and make a mess? Any experience anyone?

You could always get one of the buckets with a lid - they have the ones you can wear around your neck all day so they don't get in the way.

No food or drink would be allowed on the ride.

I guarantee you the popcorn would float. On our most recent ride I had my baseball cap in my lap and it became airborne. It was just a couple of inches but I could see how food/drink could get messy real fast.

Open food/drink would not be allowed on.
If you have it in a backpack or something it would be ok.
Why not just wait until after you ride to get the popcorn?
Or finish it up before you enter the lobby.

I can confirm stuff will fly around in there! We ate at a Halloween character dinner where they gave us cute treat bags of candy. We put them in between our knees on TOT and as the first drop happened, the candy floated up out of the top of the bag. I was so busy try to catch the pieces and trying to squeeze my knees together that I didn't have time to be scared (I don't like the ride)!!

Just out of curiosity, what do people do with popcorn buckets (especially the Xmas ones like the Alien) on roller coasters? Do you just hold it on your lap on Space Mountain? There’s not even room on that ride for putting it at your feet. I bought one for DD at Thanksgiving, and then I had to take things out of my backpack to make the Alien fit. We ended up wearing our jackets on EE even though it was 80 degrees because the Alien took up all of the space in my backpack, lol.

I put my popcorn bucket between my feet on 7DMT. We went around a corner and I bumped it in such a way that it opened and popcorn was all over the floor. I felt so bad when I got off (I used to be custodial in MK, the last thing I want to do is make a mess for them to have to clean!).

My Vera Bradley cross body purse floated way up near my head last summer. It was so cool. Not so cool was a few years ago we were first ride of the day and a lady behind us took a cup of sprite on (hidden in her bag I guess). How did we know? Oh it would be the sprite going airborne out of the cup all over us. We told someone when we got off and they had to close the elevator to clean it up. Sometimes you can’t fix stupid. (Not referring to OP because a cup of sprite and popcorn are totally different).

Goldfish from the floor came up few years ago and went up and down with us as we rode .... they were there when we got on .... !

The necklace fan I wear on hot days floats up past my face if I forget to hold it down. You really do drop faster than gravity!
