I'm an avid souvenior popcorn bucket collector in the parks and was wondering if they sell them on the Dream?

Nope. The only popcorn available onboard is sold in prepackaged bags.

... I thought I was the only one who did that! I have probably 20+ buckets on the top shelf of my closet. While it's nice to see them when I go in there, I'm not sure how or where they should be displayed. Any tips?

And unfortunately, there is no fresh popped popcorn on the ships, only the prebagged stuff. No microwaves to pop your own, either. :(

I collect them also. I don't display mine though. I found they are great to store and transport things. My DD uses a couple for her ribbons. We buy ribbon from the $1 bin at Michaels and she uses it in her hair but the best use I have found for them is taking cookies to work and school. A couple of dozen fit nicely.

We use our buckets for... (wait for it!) POPCORN! Microwave popcorn is so much better served in Disney buckets! popcorn::

I saw another thread once on all the different uses. One person used them to store their kids' art supplies. Good place to keep cookie cutters, doll accessories, etc.

So glad to see I am not the only one!

Thanks, once again, to my fellow Dis'ers for justifying any Disney related addiction!!!

Must get a popcorn bucket on my next trip! I love using my refillable mugs at work each day - gives a smile from my happy place.

DCL are you listening?
New source of revenue. Well labeled sturdy popcorn buckets for $10 each.
:goodvibes

I actually saw popcorn buckets available on the Dream over Halloween. It appeared they were using the ship to help clear out excess parks merchandise and the Halloween popcorn bucket was available in that bar area next to the main show theater (it's Preludes on the Classic ships. I can't remember what it's called on the Dream). They were offering it as part of a discounted package of a bag of popcorn and a couple of fountain sodas.

I saw those too. We spent a few days at the park before the cruise and in the Main Street Emporium they were selling the empty Halloween buckets and then printed on your receipt was a voucher for a box of popcorn. This worked out great for us because we wanted the bucket but really didn't want to take it with us on the cruise. So we shipped the empty bucket home with our others purchases from there. As for a use at home, we put all of our change in it.

I'm not sure the type of buckets you're taking about, but wouldn't it be cute if you brought in a plain popcorn bucket, maybe a ceramic one, and had the characters autograph it? Then you WOULD have a Disney Dream Popcorn Bucket, customized for your family!:lovestruc

Sooooo now I'm curious! What's your fave popcorn bucket you've collected? I started collecting at Halloween Parties and this past year was happy to see R2D2 ones and then the Ghost Mickey at this year's Halloween party. Are there others like this that have been collected in Florida? I love the Tokyo Disney ones like my av :goodvibes

Here's links to a few found on the net:

I hope they do different ones each year for the party....they're fun to decorate with, great souven"Ears" and useful too!

Also can anyone tell me if R2D2 is still being sold at Hollywood Studios? popcorn::
