I like buying a popcorn bucket from each park when we visit WDW. I have a friend who just returned and she said that she thinks that the buckets in all of the parks are the YOAMD buckets and are not park-specific in their design. She didn't check a lot of kiosks, so I'm wondering if anyone knows if the parks still do have park-specific popcorn buckets. Pictures of recent popcorn buckets would be appreciated, too. Thanks!

Thanks. I'm sorry to hear that the popcorn buckets turned in the same direction as the resort mugs in that there are not different ones to collect.

I was hoping to buy some new buckets with park designs.

Thanks again for the information.

I remember that before the YOMD they used to have different popcorn buckets at each park. I'm sad that it changed though...

It probably boils down to the fact that making one design for all of the buckets is less expensive than making 4 (or more--special events, etc.) designs. I might buy 1 bucket, but probably not more than one if the designs are all the same on our next trip. It was fun getting a different bucket at each park.

Exactly...
However I do think they would make more money if the buckets had different designs. I mean people wouldn't want to buy the same thing twice. But if they all had different designs than maybe people would...
I know I would...

We collect buckets too -- but go too often to expect changes each time - I will have to ask my daughter who keeps better track than I but I know for certain mid May we got a Toy Story (mania type) bucket at Hollywood Studios.

Hope that helps in your search!

You're right. If all of the buckets are the same, I'll be buying 3 less buckets on our trip.

Thanks! I wonder if the TSM bucket was a "special event" bucket for the grand opening of the ride? That would be a cute bucket.

We always buy the buckets and that is where we save our change through the year!!

after reading a recent article about the 10 worst things to eat at movies and learning that a large popcorn with butter has 74g of fat, 48 of which are saturated, popcorn is not so appealing to me. :(

We were at Disney June 4-12 and I got the Toy Story Midway Mania popcorn bucket. It is CUTE!! I never get the buckets and I had to get it this time. So def. go for it and get one when you go.popcorn::

Ok...
That's something I didn't really want to know...
On a different note the popcorn at WDW tastes so good.

I was really disappointed that they changed the popcorn buckets too. I especially dislike that they all say Disney Parks, instead of Walt Disney World. They did have a different bucket when we went in December. It was a holiday one, but it was still generic to all the parks. I liked it nevertheless.

Anyone have a picture to share? The only bucket I've seen (and have) is a Christmas theme I believe (from Nov. 07) and would like to know what the others look like, especially the TSM!

i agree (about not wanting to know). the WDW popcorn IS extremely good tasting. It is Orville Redenbacher.

for the record, i will probably give in and treat myself to the heart attack in a box.

Ignorance is bliss. :rolleyes1

When we buy popcorn, we do share 1 bucket between the 3-4 of us so at least those fat calories are split up somewhat. :)

I wonder if a Halloween bucket will be sold in Sept. as that's when MNSSHP begins? I imagine that the TSM buckets were a promotion for the opening of the attraction, so it's hard to say how much longer they'll be selling those.

I know that popcorn buckets are such a small item in the greater scheme of a Disney trip, but it is all of the small things that add pixie dust to a vacation.

When we were there April 19-26 of this year, I saw Animal Kingdom popcorn buckets at a popcorn stand next to one of the bridges (I think it was close by the Dawa Bar).
