Pop?

We were at Disney in 2002 and stayed at AKL. We got a great rate and were upgraded to an animal view. Needless to say, we were spoiled by that trip! That was our first trip since 1976! We'd love to go back to Disney this Thanksgiving but we have to watch the budget. I was not impressed with the looks of Pop Centry when we drove by in 2002. But it is newer than All Star. Should we give Pop a try anyway? How is the bus service?

POP is nicer than it looks outside. I know when we first pulled up, our first impressions were not good. POP is not AKL, so totally bring your expectations down, and you'll be fine. We liked it.

Prior to POP Century opening I was sure that I would not like the resort. I have been to it five times now and it has become my favourite value resort.
The place is huge, full nearly all the time, but you never really notice a large crowd. Sometimes you have to wait for the buses but I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes (I watched one bus leave as I was walking to the line).
The food court is the best of the values (IMHO), lots of cash registers, but it does get crowded by 8:30am and again at 7pm.
It just an adventure walking around looking and admiring the different icons on the various buildings.
Interesting enough I find that it is quieter than the Allstars.
I spent five nights at the AKL lodge in Feb and I must say that it was nice, but I actually prefer the POP over the AKL. But then again I spend all of my time at the different parks and very little time at the resort.

We may give PC a try! It's nice that we were blessed with a great deal on AKL a couple of years ago, but we're by no means "deluxe only" people! Before it opened, there were a lot of people making fun of Pop. But now that I've read some reviews, it looks like it may be a fun place to stay!

Pop is by no means AKL but it is wonderful! We loved our stay at Pop and the transportation was wonderful. We will stay there again but would like to stay at a variety of resorts right now.

Pop has a great feel to it and the decor is really upbeat and it was just a great stay all together! Hope you have a great stay!
