I just came back on thursday if anyone has any questions i will be more than happy to answer them.I stayed in the 70s room 0215.

Will my family of 4 be too cramped in the rooms? We are 2 adults and 2 kids (ages 3 and 8) with average size for each person. :earseek:

no its not too cramped my family has stayed there andwe are 4 adults the elevators are located in the center .hope this helps

too cramped? it depends on how long you'll be there... we stayed at ASSp for a few nights and were fine... when we stayed for 8 days (including two lock-ins due to hurricane) we were glad we booked two rooms (connecting)... my advice would be to pack light and plan to do laundry half way thru a week+ trip... otherwise the small space might feel really small!

yes, there are elevators in the buildings at pop :)

I'll be there in Dec. We will have 3 adult queens and one little princess. Can you give us any tips? Is it true that pop doesn't have the big soap dispensers in the shower? Did you use Disney transportation? If so how did you find the wait times? Is there anything you were dissappointed with? And above all... DID YOU HAVE THE BEST TIME EVER!!!!:) :cheer2:

Hi,

DD just checked out of Pop today! 70's bldg 0, 3rd floor. Had a great time.

Did you see two 20 something's gals in the elevators? l tall and l very short, long brown hair, LOL

Were you happy with your room location? What was your "view"?

Thanks! Hope your trip was magical!!

Don't forget to check out the Pop Century GROOVY FAQ thread -- the first page of the thread contains the answers to many of these questions. :)

no soap/shampoo dispensers, but i will say that the shamp they gave was verrrry drying and we had to buy conditioner at everything pop store...

we were there for a little over a week last summer (late aug/early sept) and found transport to be excellent... one morning we had a bit of a wait for a bus to animal kingdom but the dispatcher was right on it and even let ds make the radio call for a bus ("pop the animal" LOL) and a bus was there in a matter of minutes... ds was quite pleased w/himself as were the other two families waiting! LOL!

we were not disappointed at all! we were quite pleased with everything and my kids absolutely LOVED the place...

We just came back today! We had a terrific stay at Pop!

We checked in about 11:30, went straight to our room, 70's Building 6 (Mickey phone), room 6336. We were on the third floor, end room. Looking out the window the view was an enormous red yo-yo across the way, but the lake was right there, too. It was very quiet except for a few toilets flushing, doors closing, etc. MUCH quieter than I expected. The only time I was annoyed was Friday night when there were kids running on the walkway on the fourth floor and it sounded like herds of rhinos. But it wasn't even 10 PM so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Mousekeeping was great - towel creations, clean room, very nice.

When we arrived the safe appeared to be locked, and we didn't have the key. We stopped and told the desk that night after MK, and a manager and an engineer came to fix it. Turns out the key was IN the safe, but there isn't a handle on the safe door so I couldn't get the door open. The door stuck just enough that I thought it was locked. Oops.

Still, we were very happy. The food court was fine (not gourmet, but we already knew that). Coffee was weak but we knew it would be!

Bus service was awesome. We never had to wait very long, drivers were courteous.

We liked Pop very much, and would definitely go back.

Our only real complaint is that the day it rained the sidewalks were flooded - some of the puddles were about 4 inches deep and too big to jump over. Then again, it was record setting rainfall, so not the best situation to judge by.

When we were there in Dec., the safe WAS locked when we checked in, and an engineer had to come and remove the entire safe from the wall, and put in a new one. Made for an interesting first night. :D

We will be at Pop at the end of April. I was thinking of requesting the 70s building. Is it fairly close to the food court and bus stop? :earboy2:

We stayed in the 70's on the top floor at the end facing the lake. It was a short walk to the food court and bus stops (didn't have to walk through main building to get to the bus). It was very quiet too.

We are staying at the POP Century in September 05. I just made the reservations. I did request a preferred view room which I am told would put us closer to the pools, etc. What I am looking for is the most exciting pool for children. We have twin boys 7 years old. I was thinking the hippie dippie pool would be good for them. Most importantly though, I want to be close to the food court and main building. Can someone help me out and tell me which building is the closest to the main building and close to the best pool for kids? Thanks, Anna

Anna, if you requested and paid for preferred view ($10 more per night) you are guaranteed to be close to the food court and Hippy Dippy pool. Have fun!
