POP: Which building did you stay in?

Second time...50's building 3 (Tramp building), standard room on the first floor facing the lake, right around the corner from the Bowling Pin pool. PERFECT location for us, we loved it!

The first time, we stayed in the 80's, and I don't know what building. It was the one with Roger Rabbit, we were o the back side with a view of trees and around the corner was the "Walt Disney World" sign that arches across the interestate. It felt too far away, but it was very quiet.

60's section but opposite the main pool. I loved the location, but we were too close to the elevators. I could here them "ding" at all hours of the night.
But, other than that, the location was perfect. We were super close to the food court and main pool, but without the noise.
Pop was great for our trip. Me and two 9 year old boys.

70's twice, 60's once. LOVED the 60's location. We were on the side facing the 70's building, ground floor. Two minutes from food court, away from pool noise, two minutes to pool.

Both of our POP stays have been in building 6 next to the PopJet kiddie pool. Great location for Everything Pop and the bus stops, long walk to the parking lot.
We will be staying here again the first week in Defember.

Building 2, ground floor, a few doors down from the Juke box.

Absolutely hated it and it really tainted our first stay at Pop. The walk was a good 5 - 7mins to the food court depending on our speed. We're big "mug" people... and the walk was just too much for us when all we wanted was a cup of coffee or drink before bed.

We traveled in January and had several nights of downpour.. it was miserable getting to our room on those nights. Theres no direct/straight walkways from the backside exit of Classic Hall to the overhang walkway of Building 1; the curvey walkway just creates more distance/length/time.

It was by no means unbareable and we love the walk from Jamiaca to OPR at the CBR (similar distance) but there really isn't anything at Pop to enjoy on the walkways and the location/noise between the two pools and busy walkways didn't help.

We got spoiled with our preferred room at ASmu in Sept... no desire to return to Pop yet...

First 2 trips I was lakeside 4th floor of the 50's Tramp building. Great spot-nice & quiet, the walk wasn't bad and the bowling pin pool was fun.

Next trip was lakeside 4th floor of the 60's playdough building. LOVE this spot!!!! Very close to food court and still quiet.

Most recent trip for DS's 7th birthday he wanted 70's. I had requested lakeside but we got Big Wheel building (he was happy). We had a 1st floor room and for the first time a connecting room (we didn't need/want that). It was louder than any other Pop room I've had but not unbearable. I also thought the walk was longer but now that I look at the map we should have tried walking around the back to get to the bus stop.

First trip to POP 2 years ago we got "stuck" in the back of beyond in the 90's building - said we'd never go back to POP again without paying for a preferred room. Big mistake - went in September 2007 - paid for preferred and got stuck in a horrible area in the 60's building far away from the pool, food court, elevator, etc. Not worth having paid the extra money for. Plus with POP being such a large resort this last time it was way too noisy, too packed and very "unmagical" for us. DH & I won't go back again. We've switched to ASMu for a much quieter, magical and fun vacation. Our standard room in the Jazz building at ASMu was closer to everything than the preferred room we paid for in POP.:goodvibes
