Pop, which are preferred bulidings?

All of 60s
Some parts of 50s and 70s.

Basically the parts of 50s and 70s closest to the lobby building.

Like the PP said. :goodvibes I will add that you can request a room or area, and if they have one available, they will accommodate you. I requested a room as close to Classic hall and the buses as possible. I was given room 5364, which was close to the blue yo-yo stairs, about a 2 minute walk to the buses and to the food court, facing the Hippy Dippy pool. :thumbsup2

I will also add that I was warned that the rooms facing the pools can be noisy at times. In the 5 nights we stayed, the pool was pretty much empty by 10pm. No one was there after midnight, when the pools close. On our "sleep in day", I was woken up by mousekeeping at about 9am. The sound of kids playing in the pool was making it hard to go back to sleep. I just turned the TV on a low volume and it drowned out the noise immediately so I could go back to sleep.

Here ya go.....:goodvibes Preferred rooms are highlighted yellow.

All of the 60's-that map doesn't show the lake view as preferred but they are. I just requested one a couple days ago. :)

Sorry to hijack the thread, but, if my reservation says:

"POP CENTURY CLASSC - TEN"

Does that mean I will be in building 10, or does it mean something different entirely?

I will never forget my first stay at POP. I requested the 70's cause someone on the boards here said that was THE CLOSEST Building to the Lobby area...well, I got 70's alright....WAY on the back side facing part of the lake and the Parking LOT....so I told my BFF to drive WAY over to that back parking lot and she had a LOOONNNGGG walk from there to my Building...we realized a day or 2 later, she could have parked in the front and gotten a closer space...:headache::laughing: I now ask for Building 3 and usually get it, but the back part that is NOT preferred.:thumbsup2

Nope, NOT all of the Sixties. The map provided is 100% accurate - rooms in buildings 4 and 5 facing the lake are NOT Preferred. They're Standard.

Originally, the entire Sixties (and only the Sixties) was Preferred. Then informed Guests started requesting certain sections in the Fifties and Seventies, for the advantage of proximity without the price. Disney got smart.

All of 60's is not preferred, and the rooms that face the lake are standard view rooms. My favorite room at POP is 4441...fourth floor of bldg 4 (60's), room 41. Love it...it faces the lake, very quiet towards the end of the bldg. It is not preferred.
I did stay in one preferred room..bldg 10..hated it. I was on the ground floor, facing the play area, off behind some landscaping. There was a ton of foot traffic coming and going all the time. I much prefer a standard room, but that's just me.

In fact, just so you're aware - none of the rooms facing the lake are Preferred. They're all Standard, so if that's the location you want, you might as well save the additional nightly fee and drop your reservation down to Standard.
