just booked allstars sports and later learned pop warner will be at disney during this time. Should I be worried?

I think it's really up to the individual. Some people come back and report noisy crowds at the pools and around the food courts, cheering going on around every corner. Others who are there at the same time, come back and report they weren't bothered at all. It will probably depend greatly on how much time you spend at the resort and what time of the day that is. There are football games and cheer competitions going on throughout the day. If they're at the WWOS while you're relaxing at the resort, you wouldn't notice much of anything. I think people have different tolerance levels as well.

If you're concerned, you may want to reconsider and book at the Pop instead.

If your an early riser and you have your own transportation and you dont realy care to eat in food court I'd say no. To be honest only part that would really bug me is the early riser part I dont think I can stand being woken up by cheers but then again i sleep in. If you dont I wouldn't worry about it.

Ask for the "quiet section". They usually reserve some rooms for guests that are not part of Pop Warner that are away from the pools (where most of the noise is). I have been at All Stars during Pop Warner and, as long as you're not near the pools, it isn't bad. The food court will be crowded at breakfast time however.

Been there. Done that. Not going back.

Honestly, our only less than stellar WDW experience was at the All Stars during Pop Warner. It was just horrible.

Can you move to a moderate?

Well, IMO, it will be a toss up. It really will depend on where you are staying vs where they are staying.
Never mind the early wake up calls. Our experience was more along the lines of all night cheering. :sad2:

Been there done that too, but remember some of the overflow from Pop Warner goes to the Mods. We were there one spring & the overflow was at POR & my sister's kids went to CBR the last time they were there for soccer comps @ WWS. :rolleyes1

YES BE WORRIED...

i worked as a lifeguard at all star when they were there one year and i seriously think that i aged 10 years in the week that i was deployed there...

YES !

Yes, you should.

I can't really fault the kids for acting like obnoxious, screaming idiots at 7 in the morning, but the fact that their 'chaperone's' not only condone it, but actually encourage the behavior is something that redefined the words 'selfish' and 'self-centered' to me.

It's human behavior at it's worst.

You've been warned.

Thanks for clearing that up. Ughhhh of course that is exactly the same time we'll be there. *groan*

Yes, be very afraid :scared1:

This was our exact experience. Very well said.
I honestly don't know why Disney doesn't just block an entire resort for these kids. I can't imagine that they don't have LOTS of complaints from other miserable guests every single time.

Your signature indicates you are staying WL. We stayed there during Pop Warner a few years back and we would have never known they were there unless someone told us (which they did - before we went and I really freaked). They are nowhere near the WL and didn't seem to impact the parks at all. We saw a few cheerleaders in AK one afternoon, but that was it.

I have heard it can be a nightmare :scared1: at the resorts they are staying at.

We stayed at POP Century during Pop Warner week in 2005. We did not have any P.W. participants at our hotel (mgt said so). So we were not affected there. BUT, we did have several issues w/ the cheerleaders in the parks, cheering incessantly in line  and practicing formations etc... at inappropriate places (i.e. the middle of the walkways at Epcot) :sad2: . I don't know that I would completely change my plans, but I would seriously consider changing to a resort where they will not be staying. JMHO. Good Luck ;)
