Pop Warner Week

Hi all, I hope I put this thread in the right place. Can you guys talk to me about Pop Warner (dec 1-9)? Didn't realize we booked near those dates and are concerned about the large groups of teens.

We'll be on DCL dec 4-8. Would it be better to book WDW (Pop century) dec 1-4 or dec 8-11 when pop warner is almost done?

A few years ago, we took a very VERY last minute trip (For free dining) right after Thanksgiving, and the only room available w/ the FD offer was one of the Allstar's @ Value - Anyway, the first 1/3 of our trip was fine, but once Pop Warner started - the Parks were fine - the hotel - hot mess - I felt so bad for the staff - the kids were just running wild - the adults were all by the pool, or at the pool bar - but there were kids literally running EVERWHERE. (and by the way, some of these kids, are adult sized!) We "called" the front desk (I know it's not really the front desk) a few times and finally when @ 10pm, the kids were still running up & down the "hall's" (not really a hallway but the walkway the room doors open out on) banging on doors and windows - I was FED UP. DH & I walked to the front desk and asked for a manger - (we were not the only ones @ the front desk) anyway, they ended up moving us - to POFQ, I think it was (the Southern "mansions") It sucked to move @ 11pm at night but the rest of our trip was AWESOME
We have been before during Pop Warner, but wasn't at the hotel they were staying so didn't even notice the trip. My Summary - the Parks were fine - the hotel - I personally would not go & stay @ the hotel they are at. But that's just me. Either way its Disney!!!

We avoid pop warner week at all costs. Been through it once years ago and won`t book that time frame again.
