Pop Warner Week - Should we change our date?

I just found out that the Pop Warner Superbowl will be going on when we will be in WDW Dec. 4-10. Should I try to rebook for the next week in December to avoid this event? Some folks said they didn't notice the kids, others said they'd never go during Pop Warner week again. We are staying at Pop Century. I have a 5 year old and a 1 year old, so we will be pretty noisy guests anyway. I'm just wondering how it will be at the resort if the groups are there at the same time. Thanks!

You should be fine. The only prob you may run into is if you are booked at a resort they are at.

If it would make you feel better to rebook for the following week then go ahead and do that. I was there for the tail end of the PopWarner kids in '03 and I really didn't have a problem with them. Not too noisy. And I didn't see them in the parks so much. But, like I said, I checked in on a Friday and they left by Sunday, so I may have missed a lot. If I knew ahead of time and could have changed my travel dates, I might have. It just makes sense that if there are fewer people in a resort, that the buses, food courts, pools will be less congested. But, that would be my only reason to change...just fewer people using the services at the same time. I had no issue with the kids' behavior at all.

We were in WDW in December 04 for all of Pop Warner Week. The people who had the most problems seemed to be the ones who stayed the same resort(s) as the kids. We stayed at the CBR (where they were not staying) and it was very peaceful. We saw only a few very small groups of cheerleaders in the parks on an occasional evening, but they were identifiable only because of their hair or their cheerleader clothing. The parks weren't crowded at all. I think they have limited time for visiting the parks, anyway. All in all, if you stay at a resort other than where they are staying, you'll probably barely even notice that they are there.
