NO.

Good grief Charlie Brown. Another thing that I lost sleep over before my trip (like all the threads about how horrible Jersey Week wasm which was no big deal either). Basically in 8 days I saw 1 football team and they were very well behaved. No cheerleaders.

Non issue folks. Now of course it may be different from people who "stayed next door" to the teams. But from a park crowd standpoint, non issue.

We did not see any football teams but we did bump into quite a few cheerleading groups (HS and DTD). One group in particular was very obnoxious, but that can happen at any time during the year. Otherwise, it was a complete non-issue. I have been twice before during Pop Warner week with the same experience :thumbsup2

We saw a few football teams and cheerleaders throughout the parks all week but they were not a problem. There was a large tour group of girls (I'm not sure where they were from... maybe Brazil) who were in DHS on Tuesday, December 8th that were kind of annoying... Lots of singing and shouting as they toured the park and at LMA and Fantasmic... But overall there seemed to be very few large groups this trip

Well--forewarned is forearmed, and anyone going during Warner/Cheerleader time is taking a chance.

We were there the whole week. No problems at all.

Two things:
1) If you want to make sure you avoid them, don't stay at their resorts.
2) Use a touring plan and head to recommended parks. The PW's definitely take advantage of the EMH since they spend most of their time practicing/playing during the day.

If you let other people ruin your vacation for you, then don't go to Disney. Not just this week, but all year long.

I have seen many more complaints about pop warner than non-complaints. We were there the week before. We started to notice their presence in the parks on Thursday.

I have seen many complaints from people who don't stay at their resorts but witness their obnoxious behavior in the parks.

I'm not going to spend my hard earned money with the chance I may or may not run into them or the groups I run into are the sparse well-behaved ones.

Thx for your observations, but IMOP if you visit during PW week you are taking your chances.

All of the PW kids we saw last week were well-behaved and polite; not jumping lines or being rude at all. They were loud and excited, a lot, but what kids at WDW aren't? :lmao:

Totally a non-issue....

The large tour group was a group of girls from Argentina. We also were mobbed by them in HS and AK. We just had to let the whole group go before us to avoid being trampled.

i was at the MK on saturday and the crowds were unreal..

I bet they were. Touring plans had it rated a 7 and TGM had it as a yellow day. With late hours and a Spectro/Wishes night in between 3 MCMVPs on Thur, Fri and Sun, I'm sure lots of folks were there aside from just Pop Warner.

Thanks for the info! We saw them just once when we were leaving the MK after wishes. They were chanting along as they walked to their tour bus.

I kept thinking that a teenage boy that ended up at the same hotel must have thought he hit the jackpot.

They don't bother me in the parks any more than people in general might but I would definitely not stay at one of the resorts they use again. They were at PORS once when we stayed there and while they didn't seem to be staying in our section the pool and food court was always mobbed.

We did see a few of the PW cheerleaders chanting and doing other things to call attention to themselves. In at least two situations, cast members made their presence known and the behavior stopped.

We actually saw more bad behavior from one of the chorus groups. When we were in line for Soarin', there was one group that just kept voicing their displeasure with the wait for the ride. Several of the girls in the group were actually laying on the floor on their backs in the line area immediately after the big game screens. Clearly the group didn't have enought chaperones.

Haha I bet so :lmao:

We were @ Disney from 12/6-12/13 and saw Pop Warner Kids (football and chearleaders) each day and night. Never had a problem with any of them.

Good kids.

They didn't seem to affect the parks at all. In the future I would still avoid the resort they are staying in but I would visit again during pop warner w/o hesitation.

Not trying to be mean, but with this attitude I think you should just avoid Disney 365 days a year then ;) There are always large/obnoxious groups there along with plenty of well behaved ones. The biggest issue with Pop Warner is the impact they have on some of the resorts. As far as behaviour in parks, except for their party night in HS they are no different than the hundreds of other groups there the rest of the year!

I was there last week. As someone else mentioned, there were also choral groups, probably there for Candlelight Processional. I didn't see any really bad behavior (but I stayed at Boardwalk). The only thing I saw was a group of 4 girls crowded into 1 buggy on Haunted Mansion.

I would not cancel over Pop Warner. I would just make sure I stayed in a deluxe resort.

They aren't an issue in the parks. The problems is the horrid behavior at the resorts. We will never again stay in the same resort as the PW groups. (The parents are as bad or worse than the kids.)

I learned that long ago, doesn't matter where you go. The cheaper the place you stay, the more kids you have running around making noise.
