Pop Warner Super Bowl

I read that Pop Warner holds their super bowl at Disney. THis year it will be from Dec. 3 - 9th. We are planning to go from Dec. 1st - 10. I hear it gets crowded due to this event. Has anyone experienced this? Do the parks really get crowded and if so which ones? I'm travelling with a 5yr old and a 2yr old. Thanks!

There are lots of threads on this topic with differing opinions. I'll give you my first hand opinion

We were there last year during Pop Warner and had absolutely no problems whatsoever! We found the crowds to be light and did not notice any unruly teenagers. We did stay at the Poly so we didn't notice any of them there. The only time that we found a heavier crowd was on EMH evenings at MK and Epcot and even those crowds were not bad.

We enjoyed the first week in December so much that we are going back the same week this year! I have no problems in going the same week as Pop Warner.

If you are going during Pop Warner week, I would not stay at a value resort or the moderate overflow resort. I've tried unsuccessfully to find out what moderate the Pop Warner kids will be at this year. I have heard of them being at CBR or POR/POFQ in years past. As long as you stay at CSR or a deluxe, you should be fine. We went during Pop Warner week in 2004. We stayed at Pop since I had read that PC could not accommodate large groups. That turned out to be completely untrue. I only noticed them in the parks at night since they have their football/cheer activities during the day. MGM closes early Friday night for them so they can have the park to themselves.
