It's come to my attention that our dates coincide with Pop Warner. I am not overly concerned about the Parks but do not wish to be in the same hotel property. I have searched but can't find what moderate they will use this year? Does anyone know for sure? We are currently scheduled at POR and I will make other arrangements (either date or hotel) if that is the case.

Thanks for the info!

They have not announced their packages but the speculation is that it will be CBR because it looks like there is limited availability there that week, POR is pretty open. I just checked Dec 1 to 7, CBR just has water view available, no standard. POR has every view available. Because of the large numbers, they have to block rooms in advance.

thanks. I tried talking to Disney directly but of course got the run around. I understand that they couldn't tell me but the dude worked my nerves when he said that 'there are no such thing as room blocks for pOp Warner, guests can stay anywhere' and that 'my question wasn't relevant to a resort reservation'.

Not relevant?
That would completely tick me off!

I stayed at POR 2 years ago while the POP Warner group was there and other than some REALLY decorated windows and more crowded pools it was fine. I'm such a light sleeper so I was so worried but we didn't hear a thing. They seemed to all be staying with parents and not each other. We were there towards the end of the week when they had more free time too. I wouldn't stay at the values they were at, but I think the mods spread them out a bit more - or so it seemed.
I doubt we will find out which resorts they are at for awhile.

We always used to go first week of December and it usually overlapped a few days with Pop Warner. The football players and parents tended to be at POFQ, and for the most part they were fine. Of course there were some players who were rude and some parents who would actually hang out on the balconies/walkways and smoke and drink beer. So the last time, we decided to do POR, and this is where the cheerleaders were. They got annoying with their cheers late into the night, but the parents seemed better behaved. The parks were not effected at all that I could tell, except one day that they were attending DHS, which we knew about ahead of time by checking their site and schedule, so we avoided that park that day. Don't know what will happen this year, so good luck! You'll have fun no matter what!

This gives me hope. One would think that the room blocks would already be done. I realized the packages have been announced but surely the room blocks have been secured. Especially since Disney had offered free dining checking in up to Nov. 29.

I can't decide if I should push my dates to Dec 10-17, which is the next block that FD is offered again, or just stick with current dates and keep my fingers crossed.

Just keep in mind the later in December you go, the more crowded it will be. At least the POP Warner kids are not in the parks for the most part so it's really just your resort that has more of them. A CM once told me that May and December are when you can literally see the crowds grow day to day.
