Does the Pop Warner crowds effect the crowds at MVMCP? I was thinking about going on Sunday, the 7th but now I'm afraid that bunches of teenagers would be there that night. Also since this is a hard ticket you won't have to use a day's admission on entering the park, correct? If I end up going my plan is to sleep in, do my Christmas shopping at DTD, and then go to the party. (I require at least 7-8 hours of sleep to be chipper) But if I don't go I'll just go to AK...which I'm skipping if I go.

Hope this made sense and thanks a lot DISers!

I don't think many of the Pop Warner kids go to MVMCP. I could be wrong, but I'd say the extra cost would be too hard to justify for many.

We were at the world Dec 5-10 2007 right during Pop Warner, WE NEVER saw them! We did MVMCP on Dec 6. thurs night and it was Awesome, barely any crowds and NO Pop Warner

have fun!

Boy am I glad I read this. It takes a load off my shoulders. We're going 12/6-12/13 and found out they were gonna be there about a month ago. We totally freaked out thinking that MVMCP would be crowded along with the parks with all those kids jamming up the ride queues more than they already are during the holidays.

I am glad to hear this also. Dh and I are planning our first ever trip without the kids and we booked during 8-13. Who would have guessed Pop Warner would be there. I am not too worried about it but was also wondering about MVMCP we are scheduled to do on thurs of that week.

Guess we just won't miss the kids too much as there will be plenty around!

From what I know of Pop Warner they spend a LOT of time doing fundraisers just to get to WDW.....it certainly makes sense that they would be hard pressed to come up with an additional $50 each for a party. Plus, from what I've read about it, they are in practice/competition from early in the day until late afternoon, sometimes early evening every day they're there....so it's also hard to imagine that the coaches or whoever makes those decisions would be very happy at the thought of them being out past midnight at a party when they're supposed to be competing the next morning.

Reading past trip reports (this will be our first Nov/Dec trip so those have been great to read about what others did/saw during that time).....anyway....it sounded like the evenings saw groups of teens in the parks, but no worse than the "tour groups" that everyone complains about.....there were a LOT more people complaining about the teens behavior back at the resorts (All Stars and POR, but NOT POP), complaints ranged from loud running/talking/yelling in the walkways, even doing cheer routines outside rooms very loudly very late at night. Not sure where the chaperones are during all this, but I can say that reading all that made me change my room reservations so that we're NOT at those resorts those dates....we'll be at CBR instead. Lot of discussion about the CMs at the front desk not doing anything about the complaints either, which frankly would probably anger me more than the teenagers being so inconsiderate, after all they are teens, but the CMs ought to be reminding them to quiet down.....actually, no the chaperones should be but apparently they must have brought earplugs, and were asleep.

There is one night....I want to say it's the Wednesday, that DHS will close down early for them to have a private event.....that sounds like the biggest impact on the parks, because obviously all those that would have been at DHS will now be at one of the other 3 parks, increasing their load a bit.

I was there last year during PW week and it wasn't crowded at all during the week (weekends were crowded but probably not so much from them, it's popular with locals). I was surprised that the Tuesday MVMCP did sellout last minute. It didn't seem that crowded though.
