And they will be at All-Star Sports and POR-Riverside. This is confirmed as it is on Pop Warner site with prices listed, etc.

Those are my EXACT dates:sad2:
I've been worrying about this for weeks now. I'll be at POFQ, so I'm hoping I don't experience too many of the horror stories I've read/heard about.

I wish you luck. I changed back to my week after Thanksgiving after experiencing this one year.

Last year, I was at SSR for the 4/3 deal and missed the little darlings checking into POR. One person posted they were there, and they actually started arriving Thursday night and it was already bad.

Good luck. Been there, done that, never again.

Actually, the boys are pretty good; it is the cheerleaders and the parents who act they are drunken sailors on leave that are the worst.

We were at ASMo back in 2006 during Pop Warner Week. We only bumped into them twice: once at the cafeteria in the resort and again on a bus leaving Epcot one night. It was the parents/chaperones that were the worst. They just were not paying attention to the kids at all. I feel like there were too many kids per chaperone and they just couldn't keep up. Most of the kids were fine, but the few that were acting inappopriately were not reprimanded. The chaperones just kind of ignored them.

Do they usually clear out on the 12th? We are checking in the night of the 11th at the Contemporary.

Thanks!

You won't have any problems at the Contemporary because they do not stay at the deluxes (the resorts listed above are the ones where the majority of them stay). They do not impact the parks.

I think they do sort of impact the parks.Maybe not during the day early in the week since they are competing, but as teams are eliminated I saw alot more of them in the parks during the day, and of course in the evenings when they are done for the day

I'm really hoping they won't be as bad as I've heard...
I had planned to do DHS on the 8th! They're messing things up for me already!!!

I think (but I'm not sure) it's an after hours party, but DHS closes early on that day, and most of the PW kids will be there anyway. Time to change my plans. :surfweb:

I was there one time on their party day. ToT and RnR got very crowded late in the day as they started to arrive (this was before TSM). There was also a sign outside saying that Osborne Lights would close promptly at _________ (I can't remember the closing time).

I'm checking into POR on December 12 - it's a Sunday. Should I have a problem, or will they mostly be gone?

we have stayed twice at disney during pop week and never had any trouble. Once we were at boardwalk so expected not to see pop kids. the other time we stayed at music and saw the kids all over the place but it wasn't like they were out of control. the only place we avoided because of them was the food court during breakfast and dinner. you couldn't move in the place. easy to adjust around that. we saw a group of kids in hollywood studio's once that were loud while waiting in line but really there was no problems.

I arrive late on the 10th but don't plan to hit the parks until the 11th. I've heard people say they do affect the parks, especially near the end as they get eliminated....which makes sense.

So.....Will they be clearing out on the 12th so we can count on that day being a Pop Warner-free day, more or less? What park do you think we'd have to worry about on the 11th?

I agree! Good luck! I was at POFQ one year during that time. They were at PORS with the overflow going to POFQ. I think we got the rejects. Those cheerleaders, parents, and chaperones were horrible. After that experience I swore I'd never go again during Pop Warner. Unfortunately this year I didn't have a choice. I wanted to go before Christmas, but had two coworkers request the week before and the week after, so I was stuck with Dec 4th-12th. I'm doing a split stay at CSR and YC. If Pop Warner had announced they were going to be at CSR though, I would switch resorts to avoid them. I guess it just depends on which groups you get, but the ones at POFQ the year we were there were the most obnoxious hooligans I have ever seen. As Missytara said the football players we never noticed. It was the cheerleaders and their parents who were the problem. Although, I have to admit we never noticed them at the parks, only at the resort and the boats and buses to DTD.

Sorry to break it to you, we were at CSR (our favorite resort for our Christmas visits) this past December during the parade taping and into the weekend prior when Pop Warner began arriving. There were more cheerleaders, dance team members than I had ever seen before in our previous trips. It was also more congested at the Pepper Market than I had ever experienced, it was almost worse than being at the food court at Pop or the All Stars. They DO stay wherever there is availability, so you will not be exempt from seeing them, believe me.
