Pop Warner 2012...When do they arrive and where are they staying ?

If anyone has any info on this group, ie- when are they arriving and for how long and where they are staying would be greatly appreciated.

In the past it seemed to be always at POR, but I remember hearing something last year that they "branched out" to other resorts.

Been there and done that with this group and I dont really want to be affected by them.

Now we are booked at BW from 11-24 to 12-1. I dont think they will be there but, what about the other resorts.

They arrive Dec 2nd through the 8th.... should'nt affect your trip.

They mostly stay in the values and go to the Sports Center to compete.
If you are there when it's football Pop Warner kid time - they do not go to the parks till after 4 pm (they get the after 4 om special passes).
Normally a parent or adult is with them.

Cheerleader groups seem to be more loud and feisty then the Pop Warner football players. Especially when they do cheers on the bus - no way to avoid them

Unfortunately, IMO, it seems to be mainly at POR or CBR. Rumor was Disney was ending the Pop Warner contract but I dont think that has happened.

It is for this reason alone that I will NEVER again subject myself to the rude behavior of these "cheerleaders" and their "chaperones". I really feel sorry for the CM's wearing purple pants (bus drivers) when the parks are closing during Pop Warner.

Just my personal experience. Others may disagree.

Pop Warner participants generally stick to the Value & Moderate resorts.

Pop Warner is offered one value choice and one moderate. You may see some families at deluxes, but they will be few and far between. Either they have been before or can afford to upgrade.

You are never sure until the post the info on their website as to their choices, but last year someone was able to confirm through a guest relations department they were moved over from several years at POR, to CBR, due to rooms being out of inventory due to the refurb. The conjecture is they will again be at CBR because there has been a refurb at POR and POFQ (The overflow) due to the newness of the resort and CBR has not been refurbed. Hard to tell.
