POP vs POR

Currently we have ressies at POP for next week but I'm considering switching our ressie to POR. It would be an extra $309 to stay at POR. We havn't stayed at either so I don't know much about them. There will be 3 of us going me, dd 7, ds 5(this is a suprise trip for dd 7th b-day) we are leaving dad, big sis, and little bro home.

Reasons I'd switch to POR:
pool with slide
fridge in room
POP is booked solid so it's gonna be busy(atleast I think)
bigger rooms

Reason's I'd stay with POP:
cheaper
doesn't share a bus
food court is open(POR food court is being rehabed)

So what do you think???

well you have listed the good points and bad points already.

so if you pay the extra and go with POR - then go for it. It is your choice.

you can walk over to POFQ for their food court. It is just a little further walk.

We stayed at Pop last year and POR the year before. ALthough we liked Pop, if I were choosing, it would have to be POR. Prettier, better foodcourt and we liked the boat to DTD.

We are going in April and have gone back and forth. We have never stayed at POP but have stayed a few times at POR.
We decided to try POP. I hope we aren't sorry, although I totally forgot about the boat to DTD my kids always enjoyed doing that.

Thank you for the replies. I just changed our ressies to POR. My Sil is also going to come so we are splitting the cost of room, so I end up saving $10thats enough for atleast one .

I also just switched my reservations from POP to PO FQ today. I went back and forth so much and wondered if the extra $300. was worth the change. I am glad and happy that I did it as this trip is a surprise trip for me from my Dad and DH for my 30th Birthday and my Sister is going along with me nad it is her First trip. I have stayed at POR and POFQ and a few of the Values and also a WL. We didn't have the $$ for the WL and was going to go with POP but I think PO FQ will be nice for a Girls trip.

I cna not wait till it gets here. We just got back from a family trip!

Another option would have been POFQ. They are the first to be picked up by the buses, and the first to be dropped off. The pool also has a waterslide, and it is much smaller so it is easier to navigate with small kids. You will have a great time no matter where you stay.

sounds like you've already switched your reservation, but i was going to mention you can rent a fridge at POP for $10 a night. that's what we're doing. i'm taking that extra money we're saving by staying there (as opposed to a moderate or deluxe) and spending it on souvenirs, food that's bad for us and alcohol!!!!!!
