I've stayed at POP five times in the last 1 1/2 years (along with POFQ, CSR, BW villas, WL, and AKL). I wanted to try something different this trip, but the AP rate at POP was too good to pass up. However, the longer I thought about it, the more I wanted to try something different. Anyway I just called and the only moderate available for the week of Dec 9th-17th was CBR (water view or King rooms only). The only time a Preferred room was available there was Dec 11th-17th, so I kept my first two nights at POP and will be moving to a preferred room at CBR for the last six nights of my trip. I've done split stays before and enjoyed them, so have no problem with that aspect of it. However, I've never thought about CBR one way or the other (other than being a large resort). Please convince me that I didn't make a mistake and that a solo will be happy at CBR. I requested Martinique building 25 or 26, if that matters (no way I'd stay there if I wasn't in a Preferred room).

do you like to walk? if you do you will be fine. if you don't - well your walk won't be as back as the South Trinidad.

some people love it. I don't walking in the sand is hard - they now have a sidewalk - but it can be covered in sand. I also get to push a wheelchair - they push well in sand.

mother decide once to walk it - last time she even suggested she could do it. on that trip we were in Barbados 14. and it was fine I would probably have loved it alone.

all the swimming pool near us were pretty busy.

OMG its great.
I stayed in martinique when I stayed there.
You're decently close to the main food court area and gift shops, located in Old Port Royal. Its so beautiful in there, and caribbean music plays while you eat. Wonderful atmosphere. The main pool is there too. Anyways its a very short stroll in the morning to Port Royal for breakfast and it was very enjoyable. Some days I even saw a bunny. *awwww*
But, I would love how the "beach" and lake area was right outside Old Port Royal, so if you eat too much for Breakfast, you can just lay on a hammock for a while. Each "village" has its own pool too, and I went to the Martinique pool quite a bit. Everything is truly enjoyable there. if you were concerned about a walk, there basically isn't one if you're staying in Martinique.
The only complaint some people might have about CBR is that the lobby is so far away, like you have to ride in one of the resort vans to get there I think. But, it didn't bother me because we didn't ever have to go to the lobby, except for check-in and check-out. Its beautiful.
You'll love it!

DH and I have stayed at POP about 5-6 times, and just stayed at CBR for the first time in September. We loved it!! The resort is beautifully landscaped and the buildings are colorful and very nicely decorated.

At first I missed the huge icons of the Values, but CBR has its own very special charm. Actually DH and I were at POP a couple of weeks ago and it was so darn smoky that I really wished I was at CBR! Transportation at CBR is much better as well.

CBR ALL THE WAY!!!!

Although a lot of has to do when you're going to WDW, CBR is worth it. Your much more likely to have less teenagers/schools on your buses and at your resort which makes a huge difference. I can stand young kids, but teens with no manners can ruin any family trip.
