Pop vs BWV FP+ and dining reservation questions. Are they different?

I have a split stay at Pop for 7-days and DVC BWV for 6-days.

When I start making my Pop FP+ for Pop, do I have to wait until my DVC BWV arrival before I can start making its FP+?

Are they different policies for DVC?

Is it the same for dining reservations?

As long as both reservations are linked to your MDE, you can make fast passes for the entire duration of your trip starting 60 days out. Dining reservations don't require hotel reservations or even park tickets to make. They can be made 180 days out of the desired dining date.

Thank you stewart715. But I can only make 10-days at 60-days & 180-days out, right?

So each day after that I can make reservations for the next day of my vacation since I am staying more than 10-days?

Dining is a bit different in that each stay actually opens at 180 days from check in for the minimum between 10 days or length of stay. Because you have a split stay you will have two dining windows 1 for the stay at Pop and another for the stay at BWV. In the future if you split stay DVC to DVC MS (if you are an owner) can actually book dining across split stays. But because you are cash and DVC split stay you will have the two windows.

As for FP+ it is length of stay up to a maximum of 14 days (or the length of entire stay, whichever is minimum) at that point your subsequent days open up at the 60 day mark to the day not selected. Split stays as long as continuous are treated as a single stay. There are some caveats to this I believe if you have an AP and off-site stays booked where you are selecting FP+ for during the same time as an on-site stay.

Maybe I heard incorrectly but I thought that a few months ago, Disney changed the rules for Fastpass+ for split stays, in that each stay is treated separately for FP+ and you cannot make FP+ for the second reservation until 60 days out from it. That was apparently done because many were reserving split stays and using the first one to simply give a few extra days to start making FP+ reservations and then they would cancel (for full refund) the first reservation. The new process was reported as not applying to two DVC reservations, but in this situation, there is also a Disney hotel reservation involved.

This was actually then reversed on Disney's part. What they have done is now started to delete FP that relied on any priority given by a reservation, which was then subsequently deleted. So that effectively removed the "strategy" (the term chosen by those that employed it) you described, along with the many other "strategies", from being effective and didn't punish the rest of the guests. But all reports were split stays are back to being continuous.
