I see no reason not to use a bathroom for all the functions it was designed for. 
Why have something you paid for and restrict your own use of it? DW used to go to the campground showers, but after a couple of tries when it was more convenient to stay inside, she has been won over. 
I have also not seen any reason to restrict use to #1 or not to put paper in just like at home. Use the right paper and it will essentially dissolve in the tank.
