Does anyone here use them? Do you like them? I would liek to get one because I am tired of all these pop ups that come on when you're on a sight that uses them. They drive me nuts!
Do you know of a good one to use?

We use Ads Gone and LOVE it! Every once in a while a popup sneaks thru but it is really easy to add windows and servers to the list and then they never appear again. It was very easy to download and install and was around $20. I don't know what I did with out it!

I just installed a free one the other day and I LOVE it! I used to get so many...only a couple have gotten thru. They have a better one for money, but until the free one isn't working as well as it is now, I'll stick with what I've got. here is a link.

We've been using the free one from panicware.com too and have been very satisfied.

I'm getting the free one from PanicWare but I have a question....Is there a way to get around it if I actually want to open a popup window (not an ad?)

I just downloaded the free one and went to a sight that I know has pop-ups (a WWF/E sight) and it worked wonderfully. It does pause a bit when the pop-up usually comes up but then it went right on to the page!

Thanks for the link:) :)

You spent $20 on a pop-up remover?

You do know they have free ones, right?

Just an FYI, with a pop-up blocker your pm's won't pop-up in a new window any more either. I went about a week before I caught on and checked my box, but I'm a little slow.

I really like having the blocker though. I hate pop-up ads.

Earthlink and StarTrek.net users get a free one from earthlink and it works great. It blocks all of them unless you tell it otherwise.:teeth:

Sharon, thanks for the info about the PMs.

you can temporarily disable the panicware popup stopper by double clicking the icon. When the x is red its working, when its green its not.

I use Panicware's Popup Stopper Companion, and very satisfied. Easy to work with.

I got Ad Aware (another free one) and love it. For a while there were so many pop-ups on yahoo that I crashed every time I used it. This totally took care of the problem.

I don't have a problem for the most part, except when I'm surfing for pics to put in my ladie's post. Yesterday one came up and I had to shut down my computer to get out of it, nothing else worked.

Yes, of course I know there are free ones. However, we were having conflicts with other programs with the Panicware software and another (I forget the name) that we tried. Our machine kept freezing and giving te blue screen of death. Adsgone gives me more control over what I allow and don't allow and let's me choose to let some thru. The conflct is also gone. As an aside, this is why Windows OS drives me crazy, all those shared registry files can cause real havoc as opposed to a nice simple Apple OS.
