POP to Poly early in the morning

I'm staying at POP (17 days! ), and one morning I have a 7:30 breakfast reservation at Kona. This is a morning when MK opens at 9. So of course the best way to get there (since I won't have a car) would be to take the bus from POP to MK and then take the resort monorail to the Poly, right?

However, I need to know:

1. What time do the buses start running from POP to MK?

2. Does the resort monorail stop at the MK station that early? It will be almost 2 hours before rope drop. Will I be able to get on the monorail at the MK station, or will I need to use the walking path over to the Contemporary to catch the monorail from there?

(I suppose, since it's an Epcot EMH morning, I also have the option of taking the bus there, taking the Epcot monorail to the TTC, and then walking or monorailing to the Poly, but that sounds like it could be more time consuming than I would like.)

Presume you don't have a car. Think about a cab (really).

Nope, no car. I guess a cab is also a viable option. Do you know about how much it would cost, and what percentage tip is customary to give a taxi driver? (I've never used a cab in my life!)

The bus to MK will start at 6:30am.

If you are one of the few or only folks on the bus, tell the driver you are having breakfast at the Poly. They might be able to take you directly there. If not, yes you will be able to take the monorail from MK to the Poly. The resort monorail will be stopping at the MK because folks are going to early breakfasts and tours at the MK also.

Last year we were in the same situation. Breakfast at Kona at 7:45 and staying at Pop Century. We boarded the Magic Kingdom bus a little after 7 told the bus driver where we were going and after he dropped a guest off at the Magic Kingdom he drove us to the Poly and we were able to be seated at 7:30.

Our kids also received special rings from the bus driver as they were the first kids on his bus that morning.

We had an ADR at CRT for 8:05 when the park opened at 9. We were staying at FW Cabins and asked at the front desk what time the boats started running and they were not sure so they offered for one of the luggage guys to take us in the morning. He picked us up at our cabin at 7:30 and took us to the MK. We tipped him $10. It was so nice to not be panicked about missing our ADR due to transportation!!
