So folks, what are my options. I figured on probably grabbing a cab at Pop, but is there Disney Transportation that will get me there in time? Character Breakfast Busses? Do they still exist?

They do still exist. My problem would be the ease of getting to the Polynesian since you would have to take the bus to MK, then take the monorail to the Polynesian. Or the little boat that runs between MK, GF, and Polynesian. Since the resort monorail starts running at 7, you could be out at the bus stop for about 6:30ish, then take the monorail from MK to Polynesian.

Unnecessary. Be at the bus stop at 7 am. An MK bus will pull up. Most likely he will ask if anyone's going to a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's, 'Ohanas, or 1900 Park Fare. Tell him you're going to the Polynesian.

Yes, that does happen, but don't 'count on' the driver being able to make the side trip. I have mentioned it several times and the driver has apologized and told me that he can't deviate from his route since he has to be at another spot by a certain time.
So, yes, sometimes the bus driver will be able to take you directly to a different area, but it isn't dependable.

Thanks everyone. Looks like 6:30 at the Pop Bus Stop it is. That's fine, I just could not remember if the early early busses still ran. If I can go straight to the Polynesian via bus, all the better, if I have to monorail to the Polynesian, that's fine too.

I'm in similar situation with Chef Mickey's 7:00 ADR from ASMo. This is my first trip and I've seen conflicting information on even the WDWinfo site:

"Character Breakfast busses start running at 7:00am, and run approx every 15 minutes. They have the flexibility to allow direct transportation to the theme parks, and area resorts." [http://www.wdwinfo.com/transportation/bus_schedules.htm]

Yet the boards say I can catch a bus earlier. Should I be worrying or will I be able to get a bus early enough to make the reservation?
