Pop the 1st week in June - how busy?

We just booked our first stay at Pop Century for 6/1 - 6/7. Any idea how busy it will be or if there are any large groups booked there for that week? Not that it will change our minds - we're pretty excited about staying there finally. It's going to be a whole week of firsts - first time at Pop, first time going to P&P party, and first time on the dining plan so lots of first times at restaurants too. So far we're planning on Crystal Palace, Hollywood & Vine, 1900 Park Fare w/Cindy, WCC, Le Cellier, and breakfast at Ohana. Can't wait! Just want to know how busy the resort might be so we can plan accordingly. TIA

Just want to point you to a similar thread a little farther down the page. Early June is not quite as busy as mid June but you will have Star Wars Weekend and Gay Days toward the end of your stay.

We planned our trip to be 6-10 to 6-17 solely due to Gay days and the Star wars weekend crowds. Am I to believe that the crowds are actually worse when I am booked?

We've gone a few times during your timeframe and I don't think you will have any major problems. You can look at the Gay Days website to see what days they plan to be at each park and plan around them. We've never noticed the Gay Days groups making a big difference in crowds at the parks but we may have just been lucky. Star Wars Weekends are really only going to impact the Studios on the weekends and even then mainly just around Star Tours and the special Star Wars stuff.

Hello!

We will be there from 5/31 to 6/8/2008 and we are really looking forward to it, we are staying at POP.

We went in 2006 from June 12 - 19th and it was busy but we went with the mindset that it would be busy and to enjoy ourselves. We are going with the same mindset.

We have also planned around other events such as Gay Days

But DH wants to attend Star Wars Weekends, so I am going to Epcot.
