POP snack question

We are staying at POP and are going to use the Disney Dining Plan (1 Snack, 1 QS, & 1 TS per day)

We are not huge breakfast eaters, so I'm wondering what we can get at the POP Food Court for a Snack credit? Are the mickey waffles a snack credit or a QS?? If they are QS, I'm thinking it would be better to pay OOP than to waste a QS credit on just a waffle!

Any thoughts??

Waffles are CS credits. If we want a breakfast at POP we always pay OOP.
I do know that the fried potatoes can be purchased for a snack credit and they are good!!

You can get for CS credits
waffles with fruit or with meat
chocolate chip pancakes
sausage or bacon breakfast croissant and potatoes
breakfast pizza
breakfast wrap
western omlette
omlette of the day
cheese omlette
ham and cheese omlette
bounty platter (eggs, french toast sticks, sausage, bacon, potatoes and biscuit)
oatmeal (snack credit)
chocolate croissant (snack credit)
cinnimon roll (snack credit)
assorted muffins (snack credit)

I recommend breakfast pizza!

For cs credit you get either
1) Entree 2 drinks
2) entree 1 drink pastry
3) entree 1 drink fruit

As others have mentioned, the Mickey Waffles are a CS credit. You can get bacon or sausage and a drink with your credit. We often use snack credits at POP for breakfast. They have plenty of pastry options...cinnamon rolls, turnovers, chocolate croissants, cheese danish, fresh fruit..you can also get a small cereal and milk for 1 snack credit. On the mornings the kids did want Mickey waffles, we did pay OOP for it and saved the CS credit for lunch.

We did breakfast once at POP and after that decided to skip breakfast and just go fill our coffee cups and maybe use a snack credit for a quick bite before heading to the parks. We have our first real food at the park. Usually a CS, then save our TS for later in the day. At many CS, we find that we get one and split it, then a few hours later get another and split that too.

Thanks for all the hints! I hadn't thought about splitting the Counter Service meals to make the credits last longer! Good tip!!

I know our trip is still 11 months away, but I'm so excited and all the pre-planning stuff is almost as fun as being there!

We aren't huge breakfast eaters, either. We always pack some muffins or breakfast bars to snack on in the room. We have gotten fruit& yogurt parfaits, danishes, fruit cups, etc. with snack credits at the Pop food court. We also have split a breakfast platter that we got for a CS credit. The breakfast pizza at Pop is yummy.

We almost always just use our snack credit for a grab and go breakfast at the food court. Usually fruit and pastries. We hate wasting time sitting down to eat in the morning. We really like thew Main st bakery at MK for a quick breakfast too and they have a ton of snack options. Have a great time!

Aren't the Mickey waffles available as a kids' meal only? I used a CS credit for breakfast at POP last month and it was a giant POP waffle, not the Mickey ones. Just an FYI. I would have paid out of pocket for breakfast because it really isn't expensive at all, but we had CS credits left on our last morning.

Oatmeal is also a snack credit. So is dry cereal with a small milk. the cashier told me that this is the only snack where you get two items (cereal and milk) for 1 snack credit.

A bagel + cream cheese is a snack credit.

No. They are good size, but not the *as-big-as-your-head* size like they are at Main St.

Along those same lines you can get pastries and such at Starring Roles Cafe at HS, Sunshine Seasons at Epcot and there is a kiosk at the entrance of AK that sells coffee and pastries too.

We just returned from Pop on Monday and the breakfast included an entree, two drinks and a dessert(pastry). Good for sharing!

You should only get 1 drink and a pastry or 2 drinks with your entree for 1 credit. You must have gotten lucky! This is changing though next year as you will only be getting 1 drink and no dessert.

The POP Waffles are pretty big so you could always share 1 to just use 1 credit. You can also get strawberry topping on it.

We just got back from Pop on Sunday. Oatmeal is no longer a snack credit. Although we spoke to a manager and she let us get it as a snack every morning because we were vegans and didn't want the meat, etc that goes with a meal. She had the cashier ring it up as a side of grits.
