We are going to be at POP in less than 1 month (okay, so it's only 1 day less, but it is less!
) and this will be our 4th visit. The first time we only stayed 1 night before going to AKL for a few nights. We stayed in the 70's building, ground floor. Jan. 06, we stayed in the 50's building, ground floor, building furthest to the right, on a corner, close to parking lot but not too close to food court. (and too near a cart path
); and last Sept. we stayed in the 70's again, gound floor, something like room #0112.
This year, I'm thinking of requesting a room that faces the lake. For those who have stayed in a lake view room, where did you stay, and did you like it? Could you see any fireworks?
What floor? I'm thinking of breaking out of the mold this year and not staying on the ground floor-Shhhh! don't tell my DM! I think I would like to stay on the top floor, for a change. I don't need to stay in the 60's (preferred) and it's pretty far from the parking lot anyway. It looks like the back 70's building (by the Mickey phone) would be good as would 2 of the 50's buildings (Tramp or back side of Jukebox).
Looking at the map for all of WDW, it looks like the 50's building is closest to both Epcot, and MGM. It looks like, to me, that considering parking lot access, walk to food court, and fireworks view, that the 50's building with Tramp (back, right side) would be good. What are your thoughts and/or experiences?
TIA!
