Anyone use the PnP at Pop (or other resorts)? Are they in decent condition? In other words, should I spend the next 4 months training my DD to sleep in a PnP?
We used the pack-n-play at pop twice last year. They were fine. My child slept in it fine both times even though he normally doesn't sleep in one (and he was almost 3 at the time). I think it depends on your childs personality though.
we used a pnp at pop in January. It was clean and in good condition. They didnt us give a sheet with it, but we brought our own so it wasnt a problem. I would definitely use one again rather than try to bring our own or spend money on renting one.
We use pack n play's all the time when we go to Disney. They work out great. Our son is so tired by the end of the day - he just crashes in it. A few suggestions though..... I always bring my own pnp sheet & pnp mattress pad. I got mine at Babies R Us. Also - I usually wash the entire thing down with either Clorox or lysol wipes before we use it....you just never know if a sick baby used it before you were there and I am sure housekeeping doesn't clean them all the time......
I would definitely bring our own sheets and stuff but she will not sleep in one at home. She will nap in it but not sleep in it at night. The plan is for her to share a bed with me during our trip but we shared a bed last week and when we got home she was up every 30 minutes (instead of every 2 hours) for several nights. Not sure if I want to look forward to that again.
Would she be ready to sleep in something like this?? Saw it today while I was just shopping around for Disney stuff. It looks like it folds up very small. Maybe she would like her own Princess bed!
I have found the disney pack n plays to be in good condition.
I dont think you need to spend 4 months trying to get your DD to sleep in one, but I would suggest trying a long weekend or something to be sure she will sleep in one! I have been twice to disney with a one year old now. DS#1 was about 15-16 months and he slept pretty well in it... had to cosleep a few times for part of a night, but over all ok. DS#2 on the other hand wants NOTHING to do with a pack n play. We did a long weekend away a couple months before we went (he was 18 months at the trip)and he absolutley would NOT sleep in it. Nor would he sleep well with me. We were up much of the three nights. I kept thinking it would get better and it didnt. For that very reason, we ended up renting a crib from A baby's best friend. It was the absolute best thing I could ever have done. He slept all night every night just like at home. I was so thankful!!!!!
So for most people the pack n play is fine... but I cant imagine the disney tired on top of a non sleeping toddler! I would try it a few nights and see how she does!!
