Pop or CBR?

We stayed at Pop during our last trip in August and loved it. We’re planning our “baby moon” for March, and currently are booked at CBR. However, I’ve been reading some negative things about CBR and am wondering if we should go back to Pop. Reasons I chose CBR this go around is multiple bus stops, we got a king bed for a great price (and I’ll be pregnant! I can barely get comfortable now lol) and the bigger rooms. We found the new beds at Pop still small, even though they’re supposed to be queens now. I don’t know what to do! I think we’re paying like $160ish a night for a king room at CBR and I just feel like that’s a great price for a moderate. I’ve stayed at both mod and value, and really don’t prefer either or. I just like the extra room when we’re doing longer trips.

I just had this same debate a few weeks ago. In the end, we decided to stay with Pop, although our situation is different from yours. I can totally understand wanting to have the extra room, as well as the temptation to move up to a moderate resort for not that much more money than some value resort prices.

Well POP new beds are real queens so if that wasn't big enough - I would go with a sure bet getting a King, I would just stay at CBR. You will have a shorter walk to get to/from the buses. You might not have a short walk to tent food/main pool BUT you could just utilize your quiet pool and plan all your meals at the parks or Disney Springs.

Yes, CBR has LOTS of construction. But unless you plan tons of time at the hotel during the day, you can just ignore it. Note that at POP you may be given a room closer to the lake construction which might be much bigger by March. And there are room renovations going on, and if you are by them, they are pretty noisy too with the demo out and the build-ins. At least CBR has no room renovations so noise will be more distant.

First we actually were booked standard at CSR. But then when the AP discounts were released, it was like $14 a night less to get a king at CBR. I’ve stayed in CSR, didn’t hate it didn’t love it. But loved Pop. If I could get a king bed at Pop I’d probably suck it up.

Well, it's only a request so you are taking a chance you might get a new queen or old full.

By March, if they keep the regular king rooms the same, there will likely be approx 18 kings in refurbed rooms, and either 6 or 12 in non-refurbed rooms depending on if one of those buildings is out of service.

I decided to go back to Pop. All the construction and closures at CBR just make me wary. We really enjoyed our time at Pop, and if anything we can sleep in separate beds again.

POP is probably the better choice. When are you due? The separate beds may be useful. I'm 9 months right now and just seeing hubby sleeping soundly next to me at 3am when I've been up 5x to pee makes me want to push him out of bed. :rolleyes1
