Pop or ASMo

I'm looking at a trip basically exactly 1 year from now. We only need a value. Was going to go with Pop due to having a separate bus but it looks like it will be more expensive and I'm wondering if it would really be worth it. Other option is probably ASMo, girls will be 11, 9 and 4, not into sports or music.

Well, in a year the Skyliner will be running from POP which is a draw for me, but I don't know if you're interested in that. We really like POP. We did stay at AS Sports, too, and really liked it. We are not into sports at all, but enjoyed the resort. We chose Sports because free dining was available there and also when there are shared buses between the All Stars, Sports is the first bus stop. Mind you, we only had a shared bus twice in our nine day trip. That's only in the afternoons when not many people are using the buses. Mornings and evenings, each All Star has a dedicated bus stop.

If you are looking for the cheapest hotel, definitely do ASMo. I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

Personally, I am a fan of POP. It has a lake which I like, access to AoA and newly renovated rooms that look very nice if the one bed plus pull down works for your family/group. Not sure how I feel about the upcoming Skyliner.

That said, we have had many very nice stays in AS resorts. I like that they are smaller. We enjoy the theming, especially of ASMo. rarely had shared buses, but it didn't bother us when we did really. Only 3 stops total. If the budget worked better for the AS resorts, I would be fine with staying at any of these again. I would prefer either ASMo or ASSp unless staying preferred or in a suite, however. The layout for standard rooms in ASMu puts some rooms a bit far to be my choice.

Enjoy whichever you choose. Both POP and AS are great options.

If it were up to which resort I like better it would be pop. If you’d rather save the money then go with ASMo. What’s the difference in price?

The rooms at the All-Star resorts are getting makeovers similar to the Pop rooms, so that will help you feel better about ASMo in terms of room function. We like Pop, but it seems like ASMo would have a very similar feel.

We did ASMu a few years ago and HATED it. The food court, pool, arcade, etc were fine and we enjoyed them. But we had the farthest room in the farthest building on the second floor and it was SUCH A LONG WALK, especially with a 4 year old who just couldn't make it another step after a long park day. ASMo does not seem to have that same problem. Its layout is much better.

If it saves money, go for ASMo. The rooms will be almost identical, as will the amenities. You will miss out on skyliner access and a lake view, but if that's not a deal breaker then save a few bucks.

Thanks for all the responses. I had no idea about the Skyliner. I have a kiddo terrified of heights to I think we will be going with ASMo.
