I am taking a 5 day trip with my Mom in October (21-25). We have been to WDW many times but have never stayed at a value resort. The pool does not matter to us (47 year old and 74 year old).

Which would you choose?

Oh boy tough choice indeed! My son and I love Pop a lot. We always have fun there. But because AoA is brand new (and looks incredible) i'd honestly go with AoA. Without a doubt!!! Im really curious about this resort.

We loved POP when we stayed there!! Friends of ours, both in their 60's stay there all the time! All the memorabilia is fun to look at throughout the lobby! AoA looks very nice too, but looking at the Disney site, regular rooms may not be available in Oct. Have fun-planning is always exciting! :)

Regular rooms at AoA opened for bookings today with an opening date of 9/15/12.:thumbsup2

We are sticking with pop. For us it comes down to discount we can get FD at pop where we cannot at AOA. I'm sorry but FD at pop wins out for us. Plus we love pop and I don't really have a strong urge to try AOA. I'm sure I'm in the minority.

We loved POP when we stayed there in 2010. However, I really want to try AoA this October :).

I know several Dis'ers who split time between resorts. If its possible try it out.
I just changed my Pop resort to AoA for Christmas because I wanted to see the new resort. We're staying at the Pop in Oct. as well.

My concern is that AOA will be busier than POP since it has so many family suites and is new. Just can't decide :confused3

The Pop is always busy. The same families are in the Pop just smaller rooms and as far as price. I'm not sure AoA is going to sellout this year...those suites are pricey. I think it's a toss up:confused3
If you've been to the Pop before go with the new resort. Or flip a coin :thumbsup2

I have never stayed at a value thus the confusion. Just don't know what to expect...

I would personally stay at the new resort if you have never stayed at a value AND you're okay with the possibility of not getting a discount. We had a great time at POP but are most likely going to go with AoA for our upcoming trip.

I can answer this - I know what to do. :goodvibes
My daughter and I are staying at Pop in April. Then we're staying at AoA in August.

Honestly - it solves the issue of Pop or AoA. Do them BOTH!!! :thumbsup2

I hope this works for you, too. We're really excited! :yay:

(I think this is the best solution possible. It's a win, win!!) :hippie:

I wish we could do both but it is not in the budget :sad2:
