I need my fellow Canadian's help please.

We have booked for All Star Movies in August. I have never stayed there before. I have stayed at POP before and found it okay. Just big and busy.
I did stay at All Star Music for a couple of nights last year and the room we had (family suite) and vinyl furniture that looked like it had been around since the 1970's.

Should I keep my ressie at ALM or change it to POP? I'm a little bit of a germophobe and have a hard time coming to grips with the fact that my feet may touch the hotel room carpet or that I may accidentally come in to contact with the bedspread which I'm sure they don't wash.

I just thought POP was the newest resort so it might be a little 'cleaner'.

Any thoughts?

The family suites are at music not movies. In which case music has been refurb'd.

I have stayed at both POP and ASMo and they both have pros and cons. IMO, the only advantage to POP is having it's own bus all the time. We don't enjoy enormous resorts. We loved the theme at ASMo much better than POP but the rooms do need a refurb. This year we decided to stay at ASMu for two reasons.....
1. we were not plannning a trip this year so we had to go value strickly because of money (I'm a mod. resort girl)
2. ASMu is in the middle of the all stars and it's only one bus stop on either end instead of two. BTW, they don't always share buses.
Bonus reason...more food court & pool options.

Between those 2 resorts I wouldn't pick either one. I would choose either ASSp or ASMu if I had to stay at a value level.

we have stayed twice at all star movies and we loved it both times we stayed in the fantasia hat and mighty ducks they were both great it never any noise and the buses always arrived fast would recomed

The only major difference I found was that the All Star Resorts share a bus. Made for longer bus rides and waits when leaving the park.

DW and I have stayed at both places and much prefer Pop Century. For some reason, for us it seems to be one step up from the All-Stars. The buses especially were much better at Pop. :goodvibes

POP is newer (but much larger....a long walk to the bus if you get stuck near the back of the resort) and has a dedicated bus and is more centrally located which makes for shorter bus rides.

Our kids prefer ASMo, it is decorated more to thier tastes. The buses are not always shared and the food court is better in my opinion.

The question maybe mute. What week are you going because a switch may not be possible. My friend just tried to book for August and had to go to Saratoga Springs because there was nothing available in both values and mods. Good thing they were a large group booking several rooms and are now in one suite or the trip would have been crazy expensive instead just plain old expensive.

Couldn't have said it better myself! First time ASMo and have agreat time. Second time Pop and found the buses better at ASMo. So now the third time, we chose ASMu for the more pool more bus option!:woohoo:

I have stayed at both and until my trip in October I prefered ASMo, however since then I really like POP. I found it quiet, clean, more choice in gift shop, more choice in the cafe. But most of all I found the staff a lot friendlier and willing to go that extra mile! I had a HUGE problem and because of one very caring CM this problem turned into a little hiccup.
