“Yes, Yes, YES” My hand slapped the table with each syllable. “DAMN that is the BEST HOT DOG EVER….WOW!”

Well DU!
Another great installment of "THE" TR....
I do relate to the TV thing....
Although My DB would change the channel(he was always on the floor directly in front of the TV)in the MIDDLE of the shows... ...My mother called him the bluebreasted channel changer(he always liked to wear blue Ts)..
He was the oldest(Im the youngest)and the biggest...So we watched what he wanted....UNTIL DDad got home...
Then we all (five of us kids)...suddenly remembered we had homework.... ...He was going to check in the AM... :guilty:

Except on Sundays...
We all liked the same thing...first "Bonanza", then the "Wonderful world of Disney!"...
Then "Mutual of Omaha's wild kingdom"...then bedtime :sad2: (dont remember if that was the exact order...)

Anyway cant wait for the next chapter :hourglass

I swear on a stack of WDW park maps...The absolute BEST EVER!

This should be used in a court of law when being sworn in...sounds VERY serious! :)

Love the memory of being a built in remote/tv antennae too :happytv: my Dad used to say "Can't see through you you're not made of glass ya' know!"
and going to the store w/him to buy replacement tubes...remember that?

I had to now press in and turn what was called the ‘fine tuning’ knob

Oh yes, I remember the Fine Tuner fondly... on our RCA, it was used only after smacking the right side of the console 3 times with an open palm, weight directed toward the wrist. No rabbit ears for us, though. Mom McGyvered a contraption made of a wire hanger and tin foil. Good times!

Another fun installment - thanks!

Well, now I know where kim and du were last night...

Betsy, mutual of Omaha came on before the wwod...

We used vice grips on our TV cause it could stay attached, no need to go looking...

Ours sat on the non working larger set too!

Awesome as usual du!:thumbsup

If you care too, please grab a WDW Bucket of Popcorn and please come back for the next update titled “Who Wants To Be a Psuedo Millionaire”

Guts me a bucket O pop , waitins on the next update!

DU man do I remember the tin foil on the tv. Brings back nightmares!!!
When I was in dw last month we had to go to pop to play their video games because according to my dh the movies video games sucked, we had a frozen coke. The best part about the pop!!!!!

Hi DisUNC. Still loving the report! You are too funny, bless your heart! :thumbsup2 Yes, I'm from the south.

I too remember only have 3 channels and watching a b/w tv with no remote. Ours did have dial to change the channel though so no needle nose pliers. Great memories--you make me laugh! :thumbsup2

[, I realized he was smacking his hand on the table and acting like Sally during the Diner scene in “When Harry Met Sally.”

”

I'll have what James is having :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hey DU one day my DD(13) ask's me what does that guy mean by "Don't touch that dial" :sad2: I had to give her the oral report of the side note you wrote in the last update.

You had me at laughing out lout at the needle nose pliers. We had a Zenith with the knob broken off, but the channel changer stub was flat on one side and round on the other, so gripping it with the pliers wasn't too bad. I had actually moved out of the house and was living in the dorm before I realized most people had a knob on the tv and windows that stayed open without a stick jammed in them. :confused3
