How long does it usually take to 'check in' at Pop?? Ive been reading.that there are long lines at check in for wdw resorts !?

Sometimes there are long lines sometimes not. It depends on the time of year and time of day. It also depends on if you need to make any changes, like if you get a location you don't want and you try to change it.

I've stayed at Pop 7 times, the fastest check-in was about 10 minutes late at night in January one year. The slowest was around 11am last August. After waiting in line about 15 minutes we discovered they had our Grand Gathering of 4 rooms scattered throughout the resort. It took about an hour and a half to get it fixed.

I've stayed at POP about 8 times and the longest I've ever waited was 20-25minutes (I think that was close to Christmas)...usually it's 10 minutes or less. I normally do the Online Check In and tend to arrive about 4-5pm (I drive down from Atlanta).

Honestly, we've been doing the online checkin 10 days from arrival and we have never had anyone ahead of us in line because you go to a separate counter. If you don't have any special requests or concerns about where your room might be, I highly suggest doing the online checkin. It is supersimple and very fast.

The regular line has been long sometimes and other times somewhat short, but it sure was nice to bypass all of those people and not have to wait. It got me to my POP ice cream much quicker.

We normally arrive about 7am and there is nobody checking in then. It takes about 10 minutes at most, unless the CM has some issue. Even with online check in, that counter isn't usually open when we get there, in fact, I have NEVER seen it open at Pop, even during the busy parts of the day when we were there last month.

It took us about 20 minutes because we changed locations and the system locked up. But we had checked in online and if we hadn't cared where our room was we would have been in and out in like 5-10 minutes max.

when i checked in at Pop in June i was the only one in line for the online checkin counter at around 11:30 am and it took only a few minutes. there was only one other family checking in at the regular checkin counter.

There can be. But do you know that you can do online check in and not have to go through all that? Also, the worst times I've seen check in (without the online stuff) is right at 11:00 (which is check OUT time) and 3:00 (which is the official check IN time).

The most I've had to wait was 30 minutes in January but that was because I had to do the normal check in because of a Grand Gathering with a very special request for my father in a wheelchair. We were there right at 11:00 AM (NOT my plan) and had four rooms. Otherwise, I've breezed through Pop Century with online check in every time.

Also...another quick question... if we arrive at 11 to Pop.... and our room isnt ready... I know we can check our carryon bags with the front desk... but if we leave to go straight to the parks and our room is ready will they bring our carryons to our room for us? Or do we have to pick the carryons up at the front desk when we get back from the parks that night?

depends on time of day at any resort. we have stayed in them all over the years and is just busier some times than others. never really long anywhere. bell services will hold any luggage and take to your room once it ready so you can go on to the parks.

We always arrive really early and leave our bags with Bell Services, not the front desk, and when we get our room number texted to us, our luggage is always there waiting for us. They don't do that at the other resorts, that's one thing I love about Pop.
