i LOVE POP but even last year while there we noticed how ugly the Legendary Years section looked..like a big eye-sore!

It's hard to believe something that creepy and sad looking, will turn into something as brilliant as the other buildings. It needs alot of pixie dust to make that place look happy. I can't wait to see the finished product!

So, I was just messing around on Windows Live Local... And I came across the unfinished section of Pop Century.

I remember a while back they were testing the suites idea at Pop and there was suggestion that if it worked, they'd make the other half totally suites...

From what I've heard, it worked... So, has anything been said about the other half being built? Any construction talk of late? Anything happening over there?

I ask because that whole area of the resort freaks me out... The whole... ghost-town/chernobyl effect that it's got going on creeps me out majorly...

Plus, I hate to see a part of WDW unkempt...

Small changes have taken place over there in the intervening 3 years. But nothing "major".

There is a rumor afoot that construction will begin this spring but that rumor started with Jim Hill too.. so.. take it with a grain (scratch that) block.. of salt.

I love that phrase -- chernobyl effect -- very appropriate.

BTW, wasn't there a whole thread somewhere in this forum (or maybe it was another?) on attractions, etc. abandoned by WDW? I'm sure I saw it in January before our trip, but now I can't find it.
