Just wanted to ask if they supply shampoo at Pop Century? If I don't have to pack it I won't.. I don't mind using there brand of shampoo because I have real short hair and really not looking to empress anyone with my hair looks. Im trying to cut out as much as I can from my luggage...Thanks for all your help.....

They have a shampoo/conditinoner combo and I find it pure crap. My Dh who could care less about what he washes his hair with even hates it. He would rather use a bar of soap. :lmao:

Agreed, it's really bad. My Dh has hair that's about 3/4 of an inch long and he hated the shampoo so much he used mine. Which BTW, has a very girlie, fruity smell.

I would suggest that you get a travel size one that you can leave behind.

Well I guess I better take my own shampoo and I will take your advise..I really didn't mean that I didn't care what my hair looks like.. I didn't want to take my good stuff with me.. But after seeing that you thought that I shouldn't use the hotel shampoo I will make room in the luggage for that. I will just leave the DH hair junk home. :lmao:

We used the shampoo at the Pop and didn't have any problem with it. I usually don't pack shampoo when staying at a hotel, so I am used to the generic shampoo. I didn't find it to be any worse than the typical hotel shampoo.

I would definitely bring my own trial size or purchase the trial size name brand shampoo they sell in the gift shop! There shampoo they provide is definitely not good your hair doesn't feel like it's conditioned at all! My hair felt like straw after i washed it thats horrible! I agree with the others that said bring your own!

It's shampoo+conditioner, which in my opinion doesn't work no matter what brand it is.

I always bring my own (sample or trial sizes) but my husband and brother never have any problems with the stuff at Pop. They don't like the smell though!

I never carry my own shampoo with me. I think what Disney provides is perfectly fine and not worth the hassles of anything potentially opening in your luggage.

Besides, if you use the same shampoo all the time, your hair just builds up a tolerance to the cleaners in it.

Sorry, I'm a stylist and that is not true. All shampoos are made up mainly with water. The difference between a salon/professional product and a drugstore product is the amounts of the ingredients and the purity. There are differences in product. The biggest difference that plays a part in how a product works for someone is the type of hair that they have and the environmental factors.

Well as long as they have a general store that sells everything that we will need. I just may not bother packing any shampoo, hair tonic for the hubby. (thats a laugh) What hair..threads. I understand they do have a store where you can buy whatever you need on site at Pop Century. Is that true.?. We have never stayed on Disney and we are not renting a car this trip....WE have either drove to Fla. or flew and rented a car and stayed at a local hotel... Help me if you can... All information would be accepeted.

I take my travel size of "good" shampoo and I usually use it all before I get home...I would rather have the type I use than use something that would make my hair yucky..

You're right. It is IMPOSSIBLE to "clean" and then condtion your hair at the same time. The two actions are completely opposite. (I'm a stylist too ;) )

Also several non professional brands carry higher quantities of wax which build up on your hair. If you hair is building a "resistant" to a product, it is more likely that it has a build up of that product, and needs something good to strip that off.
