Just returned from a duel BWV/POP stay and POP check in and room was superb! No wait at check in., a manager was actually moving things along, while a CM played bowling with the kids..We had a room facing the water..rm number 6336. I was very pleased!

I love POP. Only been there once but already planning our trip back.

Pop would be decent if there walls were not paper thin and if you pay for a preferred room that you actually got one, I will gladly pay the extra money to stay at a moderate from now on!pirate:

That's the only complaint I've had with POP. I had a room facing the bowling pin pool and some folks returning from MK decided to go swimming at midnight. There wasn't enough background noise from the A/C to drown them out so it was difficult getting to sleep. Other than that POP was a great resort to stay at. Next time at POP we'll stay in a room off the beaten path.

Glad you had a great trip! We stayed at Pop but haven't stayed at BWV and would love to in a few years with my DH for our 25th anniversary. Did you rent points, what kind of room did you have, etc. I think that area has so much to offer. Was it hard going from a deluxe to a value in the same week? When we stayed at Pop this year in February we were lucky enough to not be able to hear anything for the 6 nights we were there. I'm hoping we will be as lucky next February when we there again. Glad you had a wonderful vacation.

Pop has a 28 inch TV, BWV a 19 inch! :goodvibes they are re =doing the DVC resorts and need to. I own a DVC membership at VWL but had never been to BWV. I liked it alot, we had a quiet room with a nice view. I think Pop is more kid friendly, not as lavish perhaps and the buses leave you far from the front of the parks. Still a great value!..We also stayed at Portofino at Universal and that room dwarfed the BW studio.

EMcCool was likely referring to the walls between the rooms. Not's issue was more likely with the window, glass being a MUCH poorer noise insulator than any standard wall material.

Okay, well, what did you get; and if it was actually a Standard room, did you get credited? There's another current thread where apparently the original poster misunderstood what "Preferred" meant.

Glad you had a great trip. We are looking forward to checking into POP in Jan!!

Well it was considered a preffered room because it was less than 500 yards from the main building but we ended up on the 4th floor in the 70's building on the corner as far from the elevators as you could get facing the parking lot so in my opinion it was not that preferred!pirate:

We stayed at POR and the walls are paper thin there too. So, I don't think it is a problem with just the values........

We love Pop. We have stayed there 3 times and will make it 4 next May. We always stay in a standard room to be away from the pools etc. When we went last May, we stayed in the 60s building facing the lake. It' was great!!. No complaints about Pop here. :)

Thanks! This was our building:

I am glad that most enjoy Pop, that is why there are so many resorts, something for everyone!pirate:

Does anyone know if there are any connecting rooms in Standard? We have requested Connecting rooms but not sure if they are available in both Pref and Standard rooms? :confused3
