I know the 60's buildings are preferred are any of the others considered preferred? Thanks for the help.

I believe only the 60's are the preferred rooms. I don't believe they are any bigger, it's just the location for that $10 per night.

Now we have stayed in the 50's Bldg A. It is very close to the Lobby/Eating/Everything Bldg. Right next to bowling pin pool and very close to Hippy Dippy Pool. Bldg. A is also right next to the parking lot. We asked for an upper floor that did not face the pool. We have small children and we heard it can noisy when you face the pool and courtyard areas.

We love it there and we are even Disney Vacation Club members and use to more resort like places. We highly recommend it.

Only the 1960's buildings are preferred and my advice is to save the money and request the 1950's or the 1970's. We always request the 1970's, this will be our 3rd trip to the Pop and we really like it and the 1970's location. It's close to the main building which includes the food court and the bus stop and it's close to the lake and pool without the added expense. I imagine a good room location for the 60's building in order to be any closer to anything than the 50's or 70's, would be overlooking the pool which can get noisy.

Have a nice time!

We requested the 50's bldg for our trip at the end of May, but it was already full, so they upgraded us to the 60's at no extra cost.

Save your money and request the 50's. we stayed in the 60's and it wasn't any closer to anything. The 50's was actually closer to the parking lot than the 60's. And definetly request a room not facing the pool-it's open till midnight and it gets really loud down there.

We stayed in the 60's, buidling #5 with Baloo in front of it. The noise wasnt so bad, but when the fireworks went off, I believe from Epcot, it echoed. It was really cool and you were able to see them. We were very happy with the room. 2nd floor room #2271. Our mousekeeper didnt do any towel animals though. But otherwise the building was preferred and situated perfectly.

When we were at POP in Oct., we stayed on the 3rd floor ... nice and quiet. Nobody is above you, so you have no overhead noise (toilet flushing, showers running, etc.).

We stayed in the '90's (I think - the one w/the lap top icon). Our room was close to the lap top. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the hotel (at night) and walked to the room, it seemed like a long haul from the main lobby to the room. But, the next morning, we discovered that it was closer if we cut through the parking lot! Our area was very quiet and the one pool was close, convenient and much quieter than the hippy dippy pool (near 60's bldg).

I'd take the 90's again! We were very happy there!
