I'm looking to plan our trip for Jan. '09 and wanted to stay at Pop again. We stayed there last year and liked it. But then I got to thinking that maybe we'd upgrade a little and stay at a moderate resort. I was tossing around the idea of Coronado Springs. (I have a wee bit of time to decide) We're not looking at spending much time at the resort so that's why a value resort is always a logic choice. But it's always fun to stay somewhere different. I'm not sure what to plan on...any thoughts out there? Pop Century or Coronado Springs???? :confused3

CSR is a great resort. Check out my CSR website and info sheet below for pics and info. Great transportation, centrally located, awesome pool/slide and great food options.

We adore CSR.
The rooms are so much larger. No matter where our room has been, it has been quiet and peaceful. The bus stops are covered and there is never a line. I don't think that we have ever waited more than 6 minutes for a bus.
The variety in the Pepper Market is great. It does cost a little more due to gratuity being added. You also have the choice of three quiet pools as well if the main pool is to busy or noisy. CSR is also pretty centraly located to all of the parks.
Give it a try!!!!!

We have stayed at both resorts several times and would pick CSR hands down over Pop every time. The transportation at CSR is the best we've experienced on-site. The rooms are much quieter and the beds 100 times more comfy. With that said, price is always a consideration. We stayed a week at Pop last February due to getting a rate of $59 a night with our AP. The weather was cool and we did not use the pool but once anyway. We went back the end of May and stayed at CSR since their pool area is great and we knew we would get to use it at that time of year.

HI
I've been to Pop about 5 times and stayed at CSR just a few weeks ago. CSR is a beautiful resort. It was just my DH and I and we both loved it. The food court was really good and easy to use. I didn't find it confusing at all. Also, the busses were the best I've ever been on. I think it depends what kind of experience you're looking for and who you are traveling with. CSR seems like more of an adult resort to me. Very relaxing and laid back. There were kids there, but not like you'd see at Pop. Also, CSR is so huge, that I wouldn't want to walk all that way to the pool everyday with small children. I actually like all the liveliness at Pop. Both resorts are great. My DD and DGD (5) are going in Aug. and we're going to try POFQ for the first time, mainly because it is a smaller resort. I know my DGD will love the serpent slide at the pool. Have a great time!!

I've only stayed at POP before (being that was my first Disney On-Property resort), and I really enjoyed it. I loved the liveliness of the resort, the bright colors, and the general atmosphere. Never stayed at Coronado Springs but I've heard nothing but greath things about it. I know that Children With Diabetes had their Friend's For Life Convention there one year.
