So if we don't have a fridge next month will we get credit for it? And do I just ask for it if that is the case?

Yes you have to ask. Also they may check to see if you made your reservation during a time that the fridges were being listed as an ammenity.

I had no problem at all but then again I was only there for 2 nights so my credit was $30.

We will be there the first week of October. My son has food allergies so we will need a fridge to keep his rice milk in. Can I just ask at check in or should I put the request in sooner? I didnt see the option when I did online check in. Can I do it online thru MDE or do I need to call?

Not sure how to do it online but during check in even with a request double check and make sure they understand it is for a medical reason. They may have to deliver one to the room. I know others have requested online but still had to request at check in.

I made my ressies about 3 months or so ago.

I have been seeing a lot of fridges being wheeled around( not new ones, just working ones). So they are trying to accommodate requests. Hope you get one!
We were prepared with soft sided coolers, but were very thankful to not have to need them.

We are there a bit longer 10 nights so a fridge is important to us and when we booked we were told by our TA we would have one in the room

Reports are that you need to ask for the credit; they aren't crediting everyone automatically.

You need to call to make sure your medical need for a fridge is added to your reservation. Since the intention is that all resort rooms now have fridges included, there's no online option to request them. Unfortunately with all the defective fridges we're back to needing to request them for specific needs.

We are there a bit longer 10 nights so a fridge is important to us and when we booked we were told by our TA we would have one in the room

Is that because your TA added a specific request to your reservation that a working fridge is needed, or that the TA is simply checking that Disney's intended amenities now include fridges? Adding the specific request is the best approach at this time until the defective fridge situation is completely resolved, and this is still ongoing.

You have to ask for the credit. Mine too was for only $30 but the CM did not want to give it to me. Lots of back & forth. I was ready to ask for a supervisor. She was mad that TA's are telling people they will get a credit.

Went to POFQ this past August but booked our bounceback for POP next year. The big draw to POFQ was the boat which wasn't working when we were looking to go to DTD, other than that POP has all we need.

What was the bounceback offer for pop?

Is it possible to have 5 in a room?

I know years ago at All Star Sports we had friends who asked for a cot and then just had a slight additional charge per night.

Can this be done at POP?

If not, what might be our next best option in the world.

Thanks,

Dan

Staying at pop for first time kinda nervous but this forum is helping
Well if you are nervous about not getting a fridge or the $15 per night credit - then reading these threads will make you nervous!!

We are retuning to the Pop 10/4 and looking forward to it. With our extended family trips, we had always stayed at the Poly. When it was just me, DH and DD7 last year - we decided to give the Pop a try. Loved it! We go to Disney for the parks, so resort amenities aren't that important to us - but the Pop was a nice surprise!! I had psych'd myself up about how small the room would be and it worked out fine.

I hope you love it as well! The savings alone is a huge plus. It's nice not having to be on the edge of your seat for Pins or discounts because it's really very reasonable. Hope you enjoy it!!

Good to know! We are huge Poly fans but it's just not in the budget anymore for this single mom. Even working 2 jobs and getting free dining, it's a struggle for us to stay at Pop. Glad to hear you enjoy it!

Only if one is a small child (under needing a ticket age). POR has rooms with a Murphy bed that will hold 5 but again, one should be young enough to fit on the small Murphy bed. I looked into the pricing earlier in the year so it may have changed but when I looked 2 rooms at pop were cheaper than most family suites. Suites are at AoA and Music.

As long as its for medical reasons. There is no guarentee if there is no medical reason so be prepared to not have one.
