Checked in yesterday and having a great time. We are in building 3 (Tramp) on the 3rd floor. Requested lake view, but actually got pool view on the corner, so we just walk to the elevators down the opposite corridor to see the lake. The room was ready when we arrived at 10 am, so we decided that was more important to us than the location. . I try to check in once a day, if anyone has anything they want me to find out.

Val, behind on posting, but wanted to say have a wonderful time (which I gather you are doing ) Bldg 3 is great, and you accidently got a pool view

And thanks for all the investigative POP updates.

While we eagerly await Valgoof's on-the-ground investigation, Josh's Pop Century report from July 2012 shows a sighting of strawberry Pop Tarts at Everything Pop!

ok we stayed here for one night....asked for a room out in the 50's near the lake,top floor,and got it! I love looking at the water,and we could also see the bowling pin pool. The rooms are pretty tiny, but so nice and neat...I liked it here a lot,my ds said the main pool is WAY better than the Hard rock Hotel pool(?)
anyway, food court was great for lunch, and I liked walking over to AOA (WOW!) and looking around.... all in all a very nice place, I wouldn't mind a longer stay here again sometime! it's very upbeat,and being out by the lake makes it wonderful! Room was also ready before noon,which was GREAT.

Happy that you were groovin' on the POP vibe, even if for one night

gotta say we are loving the resort

being from scotland the weather is pretty awesome for us.

we see people wearing wooly hats, while we are in shorts and t shirts!

This will be our first time staying onsite and this thread has helped us out so much!
We are planning on calling in our requests later this week... We would like to have a quiet room with a lake view- We are thinking about requesting building 4 or 5 on the top floor.

I look forward to learning more about the awesome hotel before we get there!

We just called to see if we can get another family's room close to ours as they said they would try their best.

Anyone ever has success getting a family member or friend's room close to your own room at the Pop, possibly in the same building?

Yes. The key is that if they aren't close when you check in then ask them if there is any way to get them close. Often things change after room assignments are done, so there may not have been any way to make it work when the rooms were first assigned, but there might have been an opening since then that they can find. Just ask politely and they will check again for you. Hopefully they can make it work to begin with though, so you won't have to have them check!

Bdg 4 or 5, top floor is a good choice. If you booked a standard room, the lakeview rooms will fall under that category. Bldg 3 is also nice for lake views.

No boats or anything like that on the lake, just ducks!

You can absolutely see AoA across the lake, they are directly across from POP and just a walk across the bridge from POP. You can see the top of Illunminations fireworks from the 4th floor of a few of the buildings, 2, 3 and 4.

Yes, we've had family located nearby. We had our two reservations connected, but didn't want connecting rooms. May I just say, be careful what you wish for . . .

I always ask for 70's courtyard view. No parking lot view, in between two pools, somewhat close to bus stops and food court.
