Just found a pre-trip hotel Courtyard Marriott for half price :cool1:near the airport.:crowded:great dealpixiedust:

I was just wondering if anyone has tried the breakfast pizza at POP? I've been checking out the menu at AllEars and noticed it listed on there. I *love* the one at WPE in DTD and wondered if this was similar. Can anyone advise?

I had this on Sunday and did not care for it. DH was going to get it the next day, so I had him try mine first and he also did not like it. The "crust" was the problem for us. Very dry and crunchy. But I am sure others love it. :lmao:

Thank you for the info and quick response. If the crust was hard and crunchy, then I'm not interested! :scared:

Poptarts----Strawberry poptarts are still in the spot as pictured above. A CM said that strawberry is the normal flavor for them to have. She couldnt guarantee it, of course, but said they should always have strawberry.

Soda water---There is a lever to get water from the soda dispenser, but it was not carbonated, just regular water.

Pool heater----Havent confirmed this one yet, but there are people swimming again today.

This is fun. Anything else? :goodvibes

Me me!

How is the food court in general? When we stayed there in '11, we liked pretty much everything. Would love to know what you've had and what you think about it (besides the breakfast pizza, of course). :teeth:

That, and where are you from in Ohio, fellow Buckeye?

We're here right now and I can answer the pool question. My kids went swimming this afternoon for about an hour. They said the water was warm but the air was cool. It was probably mid to high seventies, but a strong wind. My kids are the ones you have to drag out of the pool, but the cooler air just got to be too much for them.

Thanks for the on the ground information! I need to buy two packages as my 10 year old daughter has just signed up for the Micky Mile kid's race. She wants Pop Tarts too!

I am from Columbus. :goodvibes

We have liked the food court overall.
Chicken penne alfredo----loved it
Mom's night out---loved it
Turkey Ciabatta Sandwich---Hubby said it was okay.
I had nuggets and he had a burger today. Both were good. The fries were great.
Breakfast pizza---not a fan
Bounty platter---hubby liked the potatoes and meat, but the eggs overcooked.
Breakfast burrito---hubby liked this better than the bounty platter
Pancakes with fruit----loved it
King cupcake----a little too odd for me
Tye dyed cheesecake----enjoying as I type this. :thumbsup2

I didnt realize we had eaten at the food court so often. :lmao:

thanks for the food court info...we find that we eat at the food court pretty often, especially for dinner after spending all day at the park (we do rope drop most days). Glad to hear that this one is good!

We were there in Sept and I was very impressed with the food selection at Pop.

I saw an update menu recently that did not include the Philly Cheeseteak?
I am hoping this is just a mistake.

For anyone there - is this true that it's gone from the grill menu?

Otherwise I could check it out Saturday when I arrive!

Thanks!,
John

Can you do ticket upgrades at Pop Century or do you have to go to a park to upgrade. since the Magic Kingdom will be open until 1 AM for most of our trip we will definitely be park hopping thanks. :cheer2:

Just did online check in and requested close to transportation as room request. Any ideas where these rooms could be located. We booked a standard room

Absolutely!! The front desk can handle that for your and any guest services including Downtown Disney. :goodvibes

For transporation .... the 60s, 70s, the back of bldg 9 (that is close to busing). If you have a preference of one area over another, I would add that as a second request. :goodvibes
